국내 다문화교육과 다문화대안학교 관련연구 동향분석 (Analysis of research trends related to multicultural education and multicultural alternative schools in Korea)

초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 다문화 아동 및 청소년들을 위해 다문화교육과 다문화대안학교의 역할이 중요하다고 보았으며 이를 위해 RISS의 학술지를 중심으로 선행연구자들의 연구동향을 분석해 현 상황과 앞으로의 지향점에 대해 파악하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 학술연구정보서비스 RISS에서 ‘다문화교육’ 및 ‘다문화대안학교’를 핵심어로 하여 국내학술논문의 검색을 실시하였다. 총 122편의 논문을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였으며 분석을 실행한 도구는 Microsoft사의 워크시트인 Excel이었다. 연구결과: 첫째, 다문화교육 및 다문화대안학교를 주제로 한 연구는 2016년 이후 서서히 줄어들고 있음을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 다문화교육을 담당할 교사에 대한 연구가 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 초등학교 및 학생에 대한 연구 14편(11.5%), 학교 및 중학생을 대상으로 한 연구 10편(8.2%), 고등학교 및 고등학생을 대상으로 한 연구 6편(4.9%)에서 알 수 있듯이 고등학교와 학생에 대한 연구가 부족해 보인다. 이 외에도 교재개발 및 분석, 다문화교육의 방법 연구 그리고 평가 연구가 빈약한 수준에 머무르고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 논의 및 결론: 현장에서의 실태·현황 파악의 부족과 이를 개선하기 위한 방안 마련의 결여를 해소하기 위해 다문화교육 및 다문화대안학교를 주제로 한 연구와 교육현장에서 학습자들을 촉진할 교사에 대한 연구가 좀 더 필요하며 또한 고등학교와 학생에 대한 연구, 교재개발 및 분석, 다문화교육의 방법 연구 그리고 평가 연구가 부족함을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 2006년부터 2020년 상반기까지의 연구를 분석 대상으로 하였기에 이후 연구물에 대한 부분은 추가하지 못하였다는 한계가 있다.

영어초록

Purpose: This study considered the role of multicultural education and multicultural alternative schools to be important for multicultural children and adolescents. To this end, the research trend of preceding researchers was analyzed centering on RISS journals to understand the current situation and future direction. Method: This study conducted a search of domestic academic papers with 'multicultural education' and multicultural alternative school' as the core words of the academic research information service RISS, and conducted research on a total of 122 papers. The tool for performing the analysis was Microsoft's 'Excel'. Results: First, it can be seen that studies on multicultural education and multicultural alternative schools have gradually decreased since 2016. Second, research on teachers who will be in charge of multicultural education was found to be insufficient. Third, as can be seen from 14 studies on elementary school and students (11.5%), 10 studies on school and middle school students (8.2%), and 6 studies on high school and high school students (4.9%). There seems to be a lack of research on the student. In addition, it was found that the development and analysis of textbooks, research on methods of multicultural education, and research on evaluation remained at a meager level. Conclusion: In order to resolve the lack of grasping the actual situation and the current situation in the field and the lack of preparation of measures to improve it, research on the subject of multicultural education and multicultural alternative schools and more research on teachers who will promote learners in the educational field are needed. Also it was found that research on high school and students, development and analysis of textbooks, research on methods of multicultural education, and research on evaluation were insufficient. Since this study was the target of analysis from 2006 to the first half of 2020, there is a limitation in that it was not possible to add additional research materials.
