장애아동 형제자매와 비장애아동 형제자매의 부모-자녀 의사소통, 자아탄력성, 정서지능 및 심리적 안녕감 비교 (A Comparative Study on Parent-Adolescent Communication, Emotional Intelligence, Ego-Resiliency and Psychological Well-being of Siblings of Children with and without Disabilities)

초록

본 연구는 장애아동의 형제자매와 비장애아동의 형제자매의 부모-자녀 의사소통과 자아탄력성, 정서지능 및 심리적 안녕감을 비교하였다. 장애아동의 형제자매 200명과 비장애아동의 형제자매 150명이 임의로 표집되었다. 배부된 설문지 중 328부가 회수되었으며, 그 중 통계분석에 적합한 282부가 최종적으로 분석되었다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 비장애아동의 형제자매가 부모-자녀 의사소통과 정서지능, 심리적 안녕감에서 장애아동의 형제자매보다 통계적으로 유의하게 높은 점수를 나타냈다. 둘째, 비장애아동의 형제자매들 중 남자집단이 부모-자녀 의사소통과 모-자녀 의사소통에서, 여자집단이 정서지능과 심리적 안녕감에서 장애아동의 형제자매보다 통계적으로 유의하게 높은 점수를 나타냈다. 또 5학년 집단에서는 비장애아동의 형제자매가 자아탄력성을 제외한 모든 변인에서, 6학년 집단에서는 심리적 안녕감에서 장애아동의 형제자매 보다 통계적으로 유의하게 높은 점수를 나타냈다. 형제순위에서는 손위와 손아래집단 모두 비장애아동의 형제자매가 부모-자녀 의사소통, 심리적 안녕감에서, 그리고 손위집단에서는 정서지능에서 비장애아동의 형제자매가 장애아동의 형제자매보다 통계적으로 유의한 높은 점수를 나타냈다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to compare parent-adolescent communication, emotional intelligence, ego-resiliency and psychological well-being between the siblings of children with and without disabilities. For the purpose, this researcher randomly sampled 200 siblings of children with disabilities and 150 ones of children without disabilities. Then the copies of a questionnaire form were distributed to all of the siblings. Among the distributed materials, 282 copies were finally analyzed. Findings of the study are summarized as follows. First, it was found that the siblings of children without disabilities are statistically, significantly higher in scores for parent-adolescent communication, emotional intelligence and psychological well-being than those of children with disabilities. Second, the male siblings of children without disabilities were statistically, significantly higher in scores for parent- adolescent communication, especially, mother-adolescent communication than the siblings of children with disabilities while, the female siblings of the former children were statistically, significantly higher in score for psychological well-being than the siblings of the latter children. Concerning difference in accordance with grade, 5th-grade siblings of children without disabilities were statistically, significantly higher in scores for all of the variables, except ego-resiliency and 6th-grade ones of normal children were such in score for psychological well-being than the siblings of children with disabilities. Finally, those respondents who are either younger or older than their sibling without disabilities were statistically, significantly higher in scores for parent-adolescent, father-adolescent and mother-adolescent communication and psychological well-being than the siblings of children with disabilities.
