유아의 상상친구 특성에 따른 정서지능과 창의성의 관계 (The relationship between emotional intelligence and creativity for young children based on imaginary companions characteristics)

초록

본 연구의 목적은 유아의 상상친구 특성에 따른 정서지능과 창의성의 차이를 알아보는 데 있다. 이를 위해 만 3세와 5세 유아 156명의 상상친구, 정서지능, 창의성 자료를 기술통계, x², t, 일원분산분석, Turkey로 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 유아의 연령에 따라서는 상상친구 유형, 종류, 성별, 나이에서, 성별에 따라서는 상상친구 유무, 이름, 성별에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 상상친구가 있는 유아가 없는 유아보다 정서지능과 창의성에서 높게 나타났다. 상상친구 형태에 따라 정서지능은 눈에 보이지 않는 상상친구(IC), 사물을 의인화 한 상상친구(PO), 상상친구가 없는 집단(None) 순으로, 창의성은 IC=PO>None 순으로 높게 나타났다. 상상친구 내용은 정서지능과 창의성 모두 영상미디어가 포함되지 않은 상상친구(NM), 영상미디어가 포함된 상상친구(M), None 순으로 높게 나타났다. 그리고 상상친구 유무와 유형(형태×내용)에서는 정서지능과 창의성 모두 IC-M=IC-NM=PO-NM>PO-M> None 순으로 높게 나타났다. 본 연구는 유아의 상상친구, 정서지능, 창의성의 관계를 이해하는 데 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the difference between emotional intelligence and creativity according to the characteristics of children’s imaginary companions. To this end, 156 data finally collected by conducting imaginary companions questionnaires, emotional intelligence, and creativity tests were analyzed through descriptive statistics, x², t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Turkey’s test. The results of this study were as follows. First, according to the age of the children, there were significant differences in the form, type, age and gender of imaginary companions, and the presence or absence, name, and gender of imaginary companions according to gender. Second, emotional intelligence and creativity of children with imaginary companions were higher those without imaginary companions. According to the form of imaginary companions, the highest order of emotional intelligence was ‘invisible imaginary companions(IC)’, ‘imaginary companions who personified objects(PO)’, and ‘none without imaginary companions(None)’. Also, the highest order of creativity was IC=PO>None. In both emotional intelligence and creativity, the content of imaginary companions was highest on the order of ‘imaginary companions group without the influence of video media(NM)’, ‘imaginary companions group with the influence of video media(M)’, and ‘group without imaginary companions(None)’. In addition, in terms of the form, content, and presence or absence of imaginary companions, both emotional intelligence and creativity were found to be high in the order of IC-M=IC-NM=PO-NM>PO-M>None. This study can be used as basic data to understand the relationship between imagination, emotional intelligence, and creativity of children and their imaginary companions.
