초록

본 논문은 뉴미디어 생태계가 기독교적인 의사소통 환경에 미친 영향에 관하여 연구한 것이다. 연구의 전반부에서는 뉴미디어 생태계를 분석하였고, 후반부에서는 기독교적인 의사소통 환경에 미친 영향을 평가하였다.
뉴미디어 생태계 환경은 콘텐츠(Contents)와, 플랫폼(Platform), 네트워크(Network), 그리고 디바이스(Device)의 네 가지 요소가 서로 상호작용하는 가치사슬체계이다. CPND의 가치사슬체계는 뉴스와 콘텐츠를 소비하려는 현대인들에게 시간과 공간의 한계를 넘어서 무한대의 정보와 콘텐츠를 제공하되 여기에 더하여 정보가 가지는 현장감과 현존감, 그리고 실재감까지 제공한다.
그렇다면 뉴미디어 생태계가 기독교적인 의사소통 환경에 미친 영향은 무엇인가? 뉴미디어 생태계는 전통적인 권위 구조의 쇠퇴와 영적인 설득력 구조의 붕괴, 그리고 실제 현실과 가상현실의 양극화 심화에 상당한 영향을 끼쳤다. 의사소통과 설득을 위해서는 권위 체계와 설득력 구조가 중요하다. 뉴미디어 생태계는 전통적인 권위 구조와 설득력 구조를 무너뜨리면서 현대인들의 설득력 기제의 빈 자리를 점령하였다. 그래서 현대인들은 더 이상 전통적인 권위 구조나 설득력 구조를 따르지 않고 뉴미디어의 가치사슬체계를 채우고 있는 가공된 시뮬라크르 이미지들에 의하여 더 많은 영향을 받는다.
하지만 뉴미디어 생태계의 상당한 영향력에도 불구하고 가상공간이 제공하는 가상현실과의 상호작용이나 교감은 면대면 상호작용이 아니라 매개된 의사-상호작용에 불과하다. 그 세계에서 상호작용하는 이미지들 역시 현실에 존재하지 않는 초현실의 이미지들인 시뮬라크르에 불과하다. 그리고 현대인들은 두 세계 사이에 끼어 있기 때문에 결국 실제 현실과 가상현실의 괴리감이 점차 심화되고 정보 무력감도 더욱 깊어가고 있다.

영어초록

This paper has examined an epistemological influence of the new media ecosystem upon the Christian communication environment. The former part of the study has focused upon the new media ecosystem and its components, and the later part the media ecological influence upon the Christian communication environment.
New media ecosystem is the communicative value chain network in which contents, platform, network, and device are related and interactive together. This communicative value chain network of CPND supplies the infinite information and contents to the people who want to consume the real time news and contents beyond the limit of time and space. Moreover this information network gives them a sense of presence and reality by the new media contents.
Then, what is the ecological influence of the new media ecosystem upon the Christian communication environment? Due to the new media ecosystem, the traditional authority structure and the spiritual plausibility structure have became weak, and epistemological tension between real reality and virtual reality has become deepen. Authority system and persuasive structure are absolutely necessary for the interactive communication and effective persuasion. However, new media ecosystem has shaken the traditional authority system and the persuasive structure, and has occupied the empty mindset of the contemporary people. The contemporary people does not admit the traditional authoritative structure and persuasive system anymore. They are more influenced by the artificial simulacre images filled with the new media value chain system.
In spite of the massive influence of the new media ecosystem, the interaction with the virtual reality in the virtual space is not the real face to face personal interaction but the mediated quasi-interaction with the artificial images of simulacre. And these mediated interaction with the artificial images is nothing but the surreal interaction with the surreal images of simulacre. Because the new media ecosystem has widened the epistemological gap between the real world and the artificial world of the new media, a feeling of dissociation from the real world and a feeling of helplessness about the surreal contents become deepen in spite of the fast development of the information communication technology.
