일부 농어촌지역 교육기관 종사자들의 피로도에 따른 생활습관행태가 주관적 구강건강상태에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Life Pattern Based on Various Degree of Fatigue of Employees in Educational Institutions of Farming and Fishing Villages on their Subjective Oral Health Condition)

초록

본 연구는 교직원들의 피로도, 생활습관행태 및 주관적 구강건강 상태를 조사하여 구강건강을 증진, 유지시키기 위한 기초자료를 수집하고자 농어촌지역에 소재한 초등학교 5개, 중학교 3개, 고등학교 5개에 근무하는 교사를 대상으로 자기기입식 설문을 실시하였고, 총 407부의 설문지를 분석하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 20.0 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, 독립표본 t-test, 일원분산분석과 Duncan test의 사후검증을 실시하였고, 상관 및 회귀분석을 실시한 결과는 다음과 같다.
인구학적 특성에 따른 생활습관행태 차이는 여자, 초등학교 교사, 건강 및 주관적 구강건강 상태가 좋을수록 생활습관행태가 좋았고, 피로도의 차이는 여자, 초등학교 교사, 건강 및 주관적 구강건강 상태가 좋지 않을수록 피로 수준이 높았다. 피로도가 높을수록 흡연과 구취, 구강자각증상 및 불편감이 높았고, 흡연이 높을수록 음주와, 구취, 구강건조 증상이 높았으며, 음주가 높을수록 나쁜 식습관과 구취, 턱관절 장애, 구강건조 증상이 높았고, 식습관이 나쁠수록 주관적 구강건강상태 모든 요인이 높았다. 피로도가 높을수록 주관적 구강 건강상태가 좋지 않았으며, 주관적 건강상태 요인 중, 구취와 구강자각 증상 및 불편감이 높았고 턱관절이 좋지 않았다. 생활습관행태가 좋지 않을수록 주관적 구강 건강상태가 안 좋았으며, 주관적 건강상태 요인 중, 구취와 구강건조 증상, 구강자각 증상 및 불편감이 높았고, 턱관절이 좋지 않았다. 피로도는 전반적인 생활습관행태에 영향을 미치지는 않았으나, 생활습관행태 요인 중, 흡연에서 피로도가 높을수록 피로 수준이 높았다.
이상의 결과로 볼 때 피로도와 생활습관행태, 주관적 구강건강 상태는 서로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 교직원의 신체적, 심리적 스트레스 해소방안과 구강건강에 대한 교육, 올바른 식습관 형성에 필요한 기초자료 수집에 활용하고자 한다.

영어초록

This study conducted a survey with self-administered questionnaires. The samples for the survey were collected from teachers working at five elementary schools, three middle schools and five high schools located at the farming and fishing villages. Degree of fatigue, life pattern and oral health condition of the teaching staff were collected in order to promote and maintain their oral health. In total, 407 copies of the questionnaires were analyzed. With the collected data, a post-test was conducted through descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Duncan test, using SPSS 20.0 Statistical Program. The results of the correlation and regression analysis are summarized as follows: As for the difference in lifestyle of demographic characteristics, female respondents of elementary school teachers who were in good health and perceived better oral health status showed better lifestyle. In comparison, female elementary school teachers who were in bad health and perceived poorer oral health status showed higher levels of fatigue.
The higher level of fatigue resulted in higher level of smoking, halitosis, perceived oral symptoms, and discomfort. Higher level of smoking was correlated to higher level of alcohol intake, halitosis, and xerostama symptoms. The higher level of alcohol intake showed higher level of bad eating habits, halitosis, temporomandibular disorder, and xerostama symptoms. Also, higher level of bad eating habits led to higher level of every factor for perceived oral health status. The higher level of fatigue was related to poorer perceived oral health status, higher level of halitosis, higher level of perceived oral symptoms and poorer temporomandibular joint. Poorer lifestyle was related to poorer perceived oral health status, higher level of halitosis, xerostama symptoms, perceived oral symptoms, discomfort and poorer temporomandibular joint. While the level of fatigue had no impact on lifestyle in general, the higher level of smoking showed higher level of fatigue. Judging from the above findings, it seems that the degree of fatigue, life pattern and oral health condition had an impact on each other. Such results can be used to reduce the physical and psychological stress of teaching staff. In addition, education on oral health and the collection of basic data are essential for the formation of proper eating habits.
