일부 농어촌 지역아동센터 교사의 구강건강신념과 구강건강 지식, 태도, 행동에 관한 조사 (A Research on Oral Health Belief, Knowledge, Attitude, and the Behavior of Teachers in Rural Community Children Centers)

초록

본 연구는 아동들의 구강관리행위에 대한 올바른 행동양식의 변화를 유도하여 아동의 구강건강 향상을 위한 전략 수립과 교육프로그램을 개발하는데 필요한 기초자료를 수집하고자 일부 농어촌 지역에 소재한 지역아동센터 교사를 대상으로 자기기입식 설문조사를 실시하였고, 총 394부의 설문지를 분석하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/Win 22.0을 이용하여 기술통계, 신뢰도 검정, 독립표본 t-test, 일원분산분석과 던칸의 사후검정을 실시하였고, 결과는 다음과 같다.
구강건간신념 중 심각성은 결혼상태, 학력, 직위에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났고, 기혼이 미혼보다 높았으며, 대학원 이상, 센터장이 비교적 높았다. 유익성은 상담교육 근무 여부에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났고, 상담교육 근무를 하는 경우에 유익성이 높았다. 중요성은 연령, 결혼상태, 학력, 직위, 재직기간, 보육교사 자격증 보유 여부, 사무행정 근무 여부에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 50세 이상, 기혼, 대학원 이상, 센터장, 재직기간 1년-2년 미만, 5년 이상, 보육교사 자격증을 보유한 사람, 사무행정 근무 시 중요성이 높았다. 구강건강 지식은 성별, 학력, 재직기간, 교사 자격증 보유 여부에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 여자, 대학원 이상, 재직기간 1년 미만, 5년 이상, 교사 자격증을 보유한 경우에 지식이 높았다. 구강건강 태도는 성별, 연령, 결혼상태, 학력, 직위, 재직기간, 보육교사 자격증 보유 여부, 교사 자격증 보유 여부에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 여자, 50세 이상, 대학원 이상, 센터장, 재직기간 5년 이상, 교사 자격증을 보유한 경우에 태도가 높았다. 행동은 성별, 결혼상태, 학력, 직위, 재직기간, 보육교사 자격증 보유 여부, 교사 자격증 보유 여부, 상담교육 근무 여부에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 여자, 기혼, 대학원 이상, 센터장, 재직기간 5년 이상, 보육교사 자격증과 교사 자격증을 보유한 경우, 상담교육을 근무하는 경우에 행동은 높았다.
이상의 결과 지역아동센터 교사들의 구강건강에 대한 신념과 구강건강지식, 태도, 행동에 영향을 미치는 요인을 고려하여 지속적이고 체계적인 구강보건증진을 위한 구강건강신념을 변화시킬 수 있는 방안이 우선적으로 검토되어져야 할 것이다. 또한 아동의 구강관리에 관한 실천적 측면의 교육 프로그램과 아동의 올바른 구강관리 습관이 성인의 생활습관으로 이어질 수 있도록 효과적인 구강보건교육 매개체 개발이 필요하다고 사료된다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to collect basic data for developing strategies and education programs that can induce children to build behavioral patterns that can promote their oral health. Thus, for this study, a self-administered survey was conducted among teachers at the rural community children centers and a total of 394 questionnaires were analyzed. The collected data were processed using SPSS/Win 22.0 to perform descriptive statistics, reliability test, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA and Duncan's test. The obtained results from this study are the following.
Severity among sub-areas of oral health belief varied statistically significantly by marital status, education, and position. The respondents who were married, who were graduate school graduates or received higher education levels, and those who were directors had relatively higher levels of severity.
Benefits varied statistically significantly by counseling education service status. Those in charge of counseling education service had higher levels of benefits. Importance varied statistically significantly by age, marital status, education, position, service duration, childcare teacher's qualification status, and clerical and administrative service status. The respondents who were aged ≥50 years, who were married, who were graduate school graduates or at higher education levels, who were directors, who had been employed for 1-<2 years or for ≥5 years, who had childcare teacher's license, and who were in charge of clerical and administrative work had higher levels of importance.
Oral health knowledge varied statistically significantly by gender, education, service duration, and teacher's qualification status. Those who were female, who were graduate school graduates or at higher education levels, who had been employed for <1 year or for ≥5 years, and who had teacher's license had better oral health knowledge.
Oral health attitudes varied statistically significantly depending on gender, age, marital status, education, position, service duration, childcare teacher's qualification status, and teacher's qualification status. Those who were female, who were aged ≥50 years, who were graduate school graduates or at higher education levels, who were directors, who had been employed for ≥5 years, and who had a teacher's license had better oral health attitudes. Behaviors varied statistically significantly by gender, marital status, education, position, service duration, childcare teacher's qualification status, teacher's qualification status, and counseling education service status. The respondents who were female, who were married, who were graduate school graduates or at higher education levels, who were directors, who had been employed for ≥5 years, who had childcare teacher's license or teacher's license, or those who were in charge of counseling education service made better behaviors.
On the basis of these results, it is first of all necessary to make a plan for changing oral health belief with the objective of promoting oral health continuously and systematically, taking into account the factors affecting oral health belief, knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of teachers at community children centers. It is also necessary to develop effective oral health education media as well as practical education programs regarding children's oral care so that their good oral care habit can be brought into their lifestyle in adulthood.
