한국사전학회 20년과 한국 사전학의 과제 (20 Years of the Korean Association for Lexicography and the Tasks of Korean Dictionary Studies)

초록

본 연구는 2003년 한국사전학이 발간된 이후부터 현재까지 『한국사전학』에 등재된 논문들을 분석함으로써 한국의 사전학이 변혁기를 거쳐 온 과정과 발전상을 고찰하고, 이를 통해 한국의 사전학의 발전 방향성을 논의하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 우선, 2003년 한국사전학회의 창립 전후부터 지금까지 한국사전학이 도출한 성과를 양적으로 분석하고(2장), 사전학 관련 논문에서 사전학의 연구 경향을 각각 거시구조적 측면과 미시구조적 측면에서 살펴봄으로써(3장), 최근 20년간의 연구의 경향성을 분석한다. 이를 통해 본 연구에서는 한국 사전학계가 말뭉치 혁명과 컴퓨터와 IT의 발달, 사용자의 참여 확장 등 사회 변화에 따른 요구를 한국사전학계가 어떻게 수용해 갈 것인지를 함께 논의한다. 본 연구의 대상은 『한국사전학』에 등재된 모든 논문이 주요 대상이나, 『한국사전학』 이전에 사전학 전문지로서 관련 주제들을 담당했던 『사전편찬학연구』와 이외 KCI 학술지 중 현대 한국사전학의 주요 성과를 모두 포함한다. 또 분석의 체계는 사전학 이론의 내적 체계인 이론사전학과 사전편찬학의 체계를 따르는 한편, 국내외 사전학계의 주요 연구 동향을 참고하기 위해 한국사전학회, 아시아사전학회, 유럽사전학회의 주요 연구 분야를 고려하여 논의한다.

영어초록

This study examines the process and development of Korean lexicology by examining both quantitatively and qualitatively the papers registered in Korealex since the publication of it in 2003. And it aims to discuss the direction also. This study intends to analyze the tendency of articles listed in the Korealex by focusing on the following questions. First, from the perspective of the research topic and system of lexicography, what kind of quantitative results has Korealex derived from before and after the establishment of the Korean Association for Lexicography in 2003 until now? Second, in the lexicographic-related papers before and after the establishment of the Korean Association for Lexicography, what tendencies and directions have been studied in terms of macro- and micro-structure, respectively? Finally, through these considerations, this study is a reflection on how the Korean dictionary academic community will accommodate social changes, such as the corpus revolution, the development of computers and IT, and the expansion of user participation, and the demands for lexicography. The necessity was discussed. The subject of this study includes all the papers registered in Korealex, the lexicographical study that was in charge of related topics as a specialized journal prior to Korealex, and the major achievements of modern Korean dictionary among other KCI journals. Through this, it is possible to analyze the research trends of Korealex from the 1990s to the present, which can be said to be a period of quantitative and qualitative leap forward in Korean dictionary studies. The analysis system follows the system of theoretical dictionaries and lexicographies, which are the internal systems of lexicographic theory, while considering major research areas of the Korean Dictionary, Asialex, and Euralex in order to refer to major research trends in the lexicon at home and abroad. Through this, it was possible to examine the development of Korean dictionary studies over the past 20 or 30 years within the system of dictionary studies, while discussing social demands and development directions for dictionary studies from the perspective of global dictionary studies.
