국내 집단상담 연구 동향: 2011년~2021년 (Research Trends of Group Counseling in Korea: from 2011 to 2021)

초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 국내 집단상담 연구의 최근 동향과 후속 연구를 위한 시사점을 알아보는 데 있다.
방법 RISS에서 2011년부터 2021년까지 ‘집단상담’ 또는 ‘집단치료’라는 주제어로 검색한 후, 한국연구재단 등재(후보)지에 게재된 논문 중 원문을 제공하는 연구 695편을 선정하여 권경인, 조수연(2010)의 분석틀에 따라 분석하였다. 본 연구는 집단상담 성과연구, 과정연구, 기타연구로 분류하였다. 그 중, 성과연구에 대하여 집단상담 효과연구, 메타연구, 프로그램 개발연구로 세분류하였다. 효과연구는 권경인, 조수연(2010)의 11개 항목과 코리더와 관찰자, 신뢰도 계수(Cronbach α), 자료분석방법, 이론적 접근을추가하여 15개 항목으로 분류하였다. 과정연구는 집단의 과정과 성과 연계, 치료적 요인, 집단과정에 대한 사례의 질적분석, 집단상담자, 내담자 특성에 따른 성과 예측, 피드백으로 세분류하였다. 끝으로 기타연구는 개관연구와 이론연구, 기타로 세분류하였다.
결과 본 연구에서는 성과연구가 604편, 과정연구 77편, 기타연구가 15편이었다. 성과연구의 유의미한 결과로는 집단원의 특성이다양화되어 노인, 쌍, 다문화를 대상으로 한 연구가 등장하였다. 이론적 접근에서는 인지행동 이론이 가장 많았으며, 통합적 접근이뒤를 이었다. 과정연구의 유의미한 결과로는 집단상담자를 대상으로 하는 연구 및 사례의 질적분석 연구가 가장 많았다. 끝으로 기타연구에서는 집단상담 윤리와 관련된 연구가 등장하기 시작하였다.
결론 김계현(2001), 권경인, 조수연(2010)의 집단상담 동향 연구 이후로 발전된 집단상담 연구의 특징과 향후 연구를 위한 시사점을 논하고, 본 연구의 제한점을 서술하였다.

영어초록

Objectives The purposes of this study were to find out the recent trends in domestic group counseling research and implications for follow-up studies.
Methods The authors searched for the subjects of “group counseling” or “group therapy” from 2011 to 2021 from RISS, selected 695 articles published in the Korean Research Foundation's registered (candidate) journals, and analyzed them according to the analysis frame of Kwon Kyung-in and Jo Su-yeon(2010). The articles were classified into outcome studies of group counseling, process studies, and other studies. Among them, outcome studies were classified into effect studies, studies using meta analysis, and program development studies. The effect studies were classified into total 15 items by adding 4 items(co-leader & observer, Cronbach α, data analysis method, theoretical approach) to 11 items of Kwon Kyung-in and Jo Su-yeon(2010). Process studies were classified into group process-outcome studies, therapeutic factors, case qualitative analysis of group process, outcome prediction from group counselor and client characteristics, and feedback. Finally, other studies were subdivided into overview studies, theoretical studies, and others.
Results 604 outcome studies of group counseling, 76 process studies, and 15 other studies were classified. As a significant result of outcome studies, the characteristics of group members were diversified, and studies targeting the elderly, pair, and multicultural characteristics emerged. In the theoretical approach, cognitive behavior theory was the most common, followed by an integrated approach. As a significant result of process studies, studies targeting group counselors and case qualitative analysis of group process were the most common. Finally, in other studies, studies related to group counseling ethics began to appear.
Conclusions The authors described the characteristics of group counseling studies developed after the research on group counseling trends of Kim Kay-Hyon(2001), Kwon Kyung-in and Jo Su-yeon(2010). Also the implications for future research were discussed, at the end, the limitations of this study were described.
