초록

The purpose of this paper is to analyze China’s perceptions and strategies of international order, East Asian regional order, and Korean peninsular security after the rise of China. China explained that it has formed international order of one-super-multi-strong and multipolarity since the post-Cold War era. China saw that it can easily reach a relative balance and stable state because the power nations check against each other in the multipolarity structure. Since the global financial crisis in 2008, Chinese scholars have been forming and operating a debate on a variety of international order, judging that there has been a change in the distribution of competencies in the international order of one-super multi-strong and multipolarity in post-Cold War era. The theme that is closely related to the formation and development of this discourse can be said to be the dominant composition and role of the only pole of the United States.
Especially, the part of the discourse of international order, which is developed in China is projected and observed, can be said to be the change of regional order in East Asia. In the course of the rise of China since 2008, China recognizes that it can play a leading role in East Asia where it is located, and will also change the regional order in East Asia.
Chapter 3 of this study traces the new international order and East Asian regional order that China perceives through a questionnaire and in-depth interviews targeting Chinese intellectuals.
China is paying greater attention to its capacity and role in establishing relations with neighboring countries in East Asia and is developing strategies for neighboring countries. The Korean peninsula is a very important area in East Asia relations of China and is a place where the change in East Asian regional order is evident. Since the time of Xi jinping, China has been expanding its influence on the Korean peninsula by expanding the flexible relationship between Korea and China, while pursuing a Korean peninsula stabilization strategy in the direction of enjoying stabilization with North Korea.
