마음통합 산업의 현황과 과제, 그리고 긍정적 선용 가능성 (The Current Status and Challenges of the Mind Integration Industry, in addition to Its potential Usefulness)

초록

마음통합의 범위는 우리의 몸과 일상, 그리고 사회적, 생태적, 나아가 우주적 관계에 이르기까지 관계된다. 마음통합 산업을 논의할 때, 우리는 과연 경제적 이윤을 염두에 둘 것인가, 아니면 종교적 포교를 염두에 둘 것인가, 그렇지 않다면 모두에게 이로운 방향(자리이타)으로 누구나 참여하여 혜택을 누리를 수 있는 방향, 개인의 영적 성숙뿐 아니라 사회적, 생태적 문제의 해결까지 염두에 두고 나갈 것인가 등의 화두를 통해 그 목적을 좀 더 분명히 할 필요가 있다. 그 목적은 결국 우리의 행동을 결정할 것이다.
우리가 명상을 명상센터에서 하든, 명상 앱을 통해 가상현실에서 하든 그 목적이 분명하다면, 마음통합 산djq이 어떻게 진행된다 하더라도 그 목적에서 벗어나지 않을 것이다. 가치 있는 목적은 업력(業力)에 끌려가는 삶을 원력(願力)으로 끌어가는 삶으로 전환할 수 있다. ‘제도화된 삼독(세 가지 좋지 않은 마음)’을 알아차리는 것은 우리의 개인적 욕심에 의해 선택되고, 사회적 전승으로 강화된 ‘관념의 틀’에 가려있는 자신(에고)을 자각하고 벗어나는 일이다. 이를 위해 무분별심(不二의 마음)으로 지금 이 순간에 자신과 세상을 향해 온전히 깨어있어야 하며, 매 순간 올바른 판단을 통해 자리이타로 자비와 정의를 실천할 수 있어야 한다.
그러므로 마음통합 산업은 마음에 대한 근원적 성찰 통합적 이해, 실천적 대안 제시를 염두에 두고 이 문제를 철저히 다루지 않으면 안 된다. 먼저 우리의 마음이 어디로 향하고, 어떻게 작용하는지에 대한 근원적 성찰이 없다면 마음통합은 어려운 일이다. 각자의 미음이 과연 독립된 실체로서 작용이 기능한 것인지, 아니면 모든 것들과 연결되어 상호작용하는 것인지, 그리고 마음이 작용할 때 어디로 향하는지, 의식에 형성된 관념의 틀과 그 마음이 향하는 방향(목적) 등에 대한 ‘근원적 성찰’이 함께 진행되어야 한다. 그리고 농업혁명 이후 수많은 철학, 종교 전통뿐만 아니라 과학혁명 이후 새롭게 밝혀진 과학적 사실을 수용함으로써 인간(자아)과 환경(세상), 그리고 그 상호작용에 대한 ‘통합적 이해’가 병행되어야 한다.
산업은 사람의 생활에 필요한 물질적, 비물질적 가치들을 생산하는 활동이다. 마음산업이 마음을 산업의 관점에서 바라보는 것이라면, 마음통합산업이라는 용어는 막연하게 인식되던 마음의 가치를 산업과 접목함으로써 분명하게 제시될 가능성의 조어이다. 문화의 산업화, 산업의 문화화라는 콘셉트(concept)를 내세웠던 문화산업에 대한 거부감과 논쟁이 마음통합 산업에서도 여전히 논란이 될 수 있겠지만, 삶 전반은 통합과 융합, 통섭의 방향으로 흘러가고 있고, 5G와 메타버스로 대변되는 새로운 기술 문명의 기저에는 마음에 대한 대중적 실천에 도움 될 만한 다양한 긍정적 요소들이 포함되어 있다. 선용의 차원에서 접근하면, 마음의 통합적 연구를 통해 결국 각자의 문제는 물론, 우리의 마음의 문제가 다른 이들의 문제와 무관하지 않음을 자각하고, 자신을 둘러싼 사회적, 생태적 문제를 해결하는 ‘실천적 대안’을 마음공부나 명상수행의 방법으로 제시할 수 있을 것이다.

영어초록

Mind integration encompasses our body and daily lives, as well as social, ecological, and even cosmological relationships. When discussing the mind integration industry, its purpose must be clarified by addressing questions such as whether we should be mindful of economic profits or religious missionary work, or whether we should be mindful of resolving social and ecological issues as well as spiritual maturity. The aim will ultimately dictate our behavior.
If the aim is clear, whether we sit in a meditation center or in virtual reality via a meditation app, the mind integration industry will not diverge from that purpose regardless of how it develops. Recognizing “institutionalized Samdok (three bad minds)” is to be conscious of and escape oneself (ego) chosen by our personal greed and concealed by the “conceptual framework” strengthened by social transmission. To do this, you must be completely awake to yourself and the world in the present moment with a thoughtless state of mind, and you must be able to practice mercy and justice through correct judgment when you choose and act in each and every instant, continually enhancing your work and life.
Consequently, the industry of mind integration must comprehensively address this issue with fundamental contemplation on the mind, an integrated understanding, and viable alternatives in mind. We cannot exist without our hearts for even a second. Integration of the mind is challenging in the absence of fundamental reflection on where the mind travels and how it functions. A “fundamental reflection” on whether each mind can behave as an autonomous entity or whether it interacts with everything, where the mind heads when it is working, the structure of concepts created in consciousness, and the direction (purpose) the mind confronts should be carried out simultaneously. And an “integrated understanding” of human(self), environment(world), and interaction should combine diverse philosophical and theological traditions after the agricultural revolution, as well as newly revealed scientific truths and methods following the scientific revolution.
If industry is an activity that produces material and non-material values that a person needs to live, and the mind-integrated industry looks at the mind from the perspective of industry, then the term mind integration industry is a term that has the potential to precisely define the previously undefined value of the mind. Although the rejection and debate of the cultural industry, which advocated the concept of the culturalization of industry and the industrialization of culture, may still be controversial in the mind integration industry, life as a whole is moving toward integration, convergence, and communication, and the foundation of the new technological civilization exemplified by 5G and the metaverse contains a number of positive factors. From the perspective of good use, through integrated research on the mind, we will be able to recognize that not only our own problems but also our own problems are irrelevant to others' problems, and we will be able to present “practical alternatives” to solve social and ecological problems surrounding ourselves as a form of mindful practice or meditation.
