원주 공항 이용객의 관심 이슈에 관한 빅 데이터 시각화 분석 (Visualization Analysis of Big Data on Issue of Interest to Passengers at Wonju Airport)

The number of airport users in our country is increasing rapidly. In particular, the research into the local airports is very poor. The few studies have been published in the aviation field using big data from social network users that contain many opinions. Thus, in this study, big data analysis and visualization analysis of Wonju airport were conducted to identify the needs of airport user. As a result of the study, the airport users were very interested in the connectivity between railway, highway, express bus terminal, and train with Gangwon Province around Gangneung, Sokcho, Chuncheon, Seongnam and Seoul.
Also, Wonju airport users were interested in nearby accommodation and distance. From the viewpoint of the suppliers, efforts should be made to provide convenient information on tourist attractions, accommodation, and traffic information in Wonju. Second, airport users expressed interest in connecting Wonju airport with Gwangju, Gunsan and Ulsan.
Customers are expressing expectations for the aircraft to move from Wonju to East, West, and South, rather than using many hours of intercity and express buses. Third, Wonju airport users showed interest in Incheon, Gimpo, Yangyang and Jeju. They are interested in linking with these airports. This study has limitations that do not include opinions from airport users who do not use social media. However, compared to the empirical verification by limited subjects selected by researchers, the big data studies analyzed for a large number of social network users will be more generalized.
