중국 관광객 유치 대비 관광여건 조성 전략 (Strategy to Develop Tourism Environment for Inducement of Chinese Tourists)

초록

한국의 관광산업은 외화획득을 통한 국가경제향상을 위해 국가적 차원의 전략산업으로 발전하여왔다. 이러한 국가차원의 노력은 지속적인 외래 관광객 증가를 가져오게 하였으며, 천만 외래 관광객 유치를 눈앞에 두게 하였다. 특히, 외래 관광객 증가에서 주목할 만한 시장은 최근 괄목할 만한 성장을 거듭하고 있는 중국 외래 관광시장이다.
그러나 방한 중국 관광객 증가와 함께 그들의 불만도 증가하면서 이를 해소하기 위한 노력의 필요성도 강조되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 중국 관광객의 불만사항을 관광객 행동단계별로 구분하여 구체적으로 분석하고, 이를 극복하기 위한 개선 방안을 제시하였다.
첫째, 신뢰성 있는 중저가 숙박시설 육성과 서비스 품질을 관리한다. 둘째, 중국 관광객 대상 모범 전용 식당 육성과 식당이용 편의성을 증대한다. 셋째, 항공 및 국제여객 노선을 확대하고 개선하며, 대중교통 이용 편리성을 증대한다. 넷째, 건전하고 편리한 쇼핑환경 조성과 한국적 상품을 개발한다. 다섯째, 특성화된 관광 프로그램을 개발하고 적극 홍보한다. 여섯째, 관광통역가이드 자질 향상 및 처우를 개선하고 국민적 환대 서비스를 향상한다. 일곱 번째, 비자발급 완화 및 편의성 증대와 저가덤핑상품 문제를 최소화 한다. 마지막으로 관광불편해소를 위한 신고센터를 적극 활용하여 충성도를 창출한다.

영어초록

Tourism industry of Korea has been progressing as national-level strategic industry aimed at betterment of national economy through earning foreign currencies. Such nationwide efforts have consistently brought about increase of inbound tourists, thus helping our country to come close to achieving ten million tourists from abroad. The market to be particularly noteworthy is Chinese outbound market which has recently shown remarkable growth on continual basis.
With the influx of Chinese tourists visiting Korea, however, the discontents raised by them have also grown larger, thus the need to resolve and reduce such discontents is being emphasized. Hence this study has conducted detailed analysis on the complaints of Chinese tourists by dividing the complaints per activity stage of tourist, and this study has further suggested improvement methods to address such discontents.
First, low-priced and trustworthy accommodations shall be secured across the nation, and service quality of the accommodations needs to be maintained stably. Second, model restaurants which are specially designated as restaurant for Chinese tourists shall be secured with their number increasing. Efforts to upgrade service quality and convenience of the restaurants need to be made consistently. Third, airline routes and international passenger lines (ferry service) shall be more diversified and extended, while convenience to use inland public transportation shall be improved. Fourth, sound and serviceable shopping environment shall be arranged adequately, with unique products containing image of Korea to be promoted and made available for Chinese tourists. Fifth, specialized tourism programs shall be planned and publicized widely. Sixth, qualities of tourist interpreters/guides need to be strengthened, while improving remuneration and treatment for them. In addition, nationwide hospitality campaign for foreign tourists shall be initiated. Seventh, visa issuance shall be eased for Chinese tourists, cutting off red-tapes, and the problem of low-priced dumping products shall be reduced to the minimum. Lastly, complaint report center aimed at resolving tourists' complaints and discontents shall be fully operational, consequently creating loyalty.
