초록

이 논의는 독자의 읽기에 작용하는 포획 장치를 탐구한다. 독자의 텍스트 이해에는 읽기 포획 장치가 작용한다. 독자의 읽기 활동은 읽기 포획 장치에 포획되어 이루어진다. 독자의 읽기는 읽기 포획장치에 포획된 읽기에서 벗어나는, 탈주하는 읽기로 이루어져야 한다. 독자의 읽기에 관여하는 읽기포획 장치에 대한 논의는 들뢰즈와 과타리의 천 개의 고원 13장(기원전 7000년 - 포획 장치)을 토대로 한다. 들뢰즈와 과타리에 따르면, 우리의 의식 활동은 포획 장치에 포획되어 이루어진다. 우리의의식을 포획하는 포획 장치는 우리가 만든 사회 구성체에 내재해 있다. 사람이 만든 대표적인 사회 구성체가 국가이다. 이 사회 구성체인 국가가 국가일 수 있게 하는 것이 국가 장치이다. 이 국가 장치의특정 요인이 포획 장치로 작용한다. 들뢰즈와 과타리는 국가를 제국적 국가, 공화적 국가, 국제적 국가로 구분한다. 이들 국가의 국가 장치에 내재하는 포획 장치는 황제의 명령, 사회적 법률, 국제적 자본이다. 각 국가 형식은 이들 포획 장치를 활용하여 사람들을 포획한다. 이에서 보면 독자도 이들 국가 장치에서 비롯된 포획 장치에 의해 포획된다. 독자의 포획은, 첫째, 제국적 국가의 형식에서 비롯된 관습적 포획이 있다. 관습적 포획은 공동적 집단성에서 비롯된 단일한 의미를 찾는 읽기에 관한 의식의 흐름을 형성한다. 둘째, 공화적 국가의 형식에서 비롯된 주체적 포획이 있다. 주체적 포획은 합의적 집단성에서 비롯된 다양한 의미를 찾는 읽기에 관한 의식의 흐름을 형성한다. 셋째, 국제적 국가의 형식에서 비롯된 추상적 포획이 있다. 추상적 포획은 초월적 집단성에서 비롯된 범국가적 공리계의 실현 모델에 따라 의미를 찾는 읽기의 흐름을 형성한다. 이들 읽기는 독자가 외부를 향한 읽기를하도록 한다. 독자가 자기를 생성하는 읽기를 실현하기 위해서는 이들 읽기 포획 장치에 포획된 읽기를 자각하고, 이에서 탈주하기 위한 노력을 해야 한다.

This discussion investigates the apparatus of capture that operates in the reader’s reading. The reading’s apparatus of capture is directly used in their understanding of the text. The reader’s reading activity is captured by the reading apparatus of capture. Furthermore, reading must shift from a reading that is captured by the reading’s apparatus of capture to a reading that escapes from it. The discussion of the reading’s apparatus of capture that operates in the reader’s reading is based on “A thousand Plateaus,” Chapter 13 (7000 B.C.: Apparatus of Capture) by Deleuze and Guattari. Our conscious activity is captured and carried out by the apparatus of capture, according to Deleuze and Guattari. The apparatus of capture that captures our consciousness is inherent in the social formation we have created. The representative social formation created by humans is the state. The state apparatus allows this social formation, the state, to function as a state. The specific elements of this state apparatus function as the apparatus of capture. Deleuze and Guattari divided the state into the imperial, republican, and international states. The apparatus of capture inherent in the state apparatus of these countries consists of the emperor’s command, social law, and international capital.
Each state form uses this apparatus of capture to capture people. In this way, readers are also captured by the apparatus of capture derived from these state apparatuses. First, the capture of readers is a conventional capture derived from the form of the imperial state. Conventional capture creates a stream of consciousness regarding reading that seeks a single meaning based on a common collectivity. Second, subjective capture is derived from the form of the republican state. Subjective capture creates a stream of consciousness regarding reading that that aims for various meanings based on a consensual collectivity. Third, there is an abstract capture derived from the form of the international state. Abstract capture creates a stream of reading that seeks meaning according to the model of the realization of a pan-national axiomatic system derived from a transcendent collectivity. These readings allow readers to look beyond the text. To enable readers to understand readings that create themselves, they need to recognize the reading captured by these reading’s apparatus of capture and make efforts to escape from them.
