두만강 북안 조선족 농촌마을 공간구조의 형성과 변화 (The Formation and Change of Spatial Structure of a ChaoXianZu Settlement on the Tumen Riverside in China)

초록

Tumen River is called River of tear, River of history, River of struggle, River of victory, River of happiness, and River of friendship by the Korean Chinese living in Yanbian. The reasons why it so called listed as follows: To trace the origin back to 19th century, our ancestors opened up the north coast territory across the Tumen River which was closed for several centuries and started to settle in that area, so that they can avoid the successive lean years in South Korea; also they struggled for the Independent Campaign acorss the Tumen River; but now Korean from North and South Korea can visit their relatives across the Tumen River; Trade between two also can be made across this river. At the beginning of the reclamation, our ancestors lived in the hills which was out of many people's eyes. Because of the increasing number of the migrations, Salary Policy had been abolished by the government since 1881. In 1885, 700-meter-long and 40~50-meter- wide north coast area of Tumen River was determined as "area for Korean people" and let the immigration from the Korea reclaim legally. So, many villages were formed from then on.Newly formed villages now become the villages of Yanbian area. Accordingly, the villages which are near from the city developed much, while those are far away from the city are developing a litte slower though, they still conserve the our traditionality and contribute to the development of the city and society. Therefore, to search out the formation and development of the villages and the contribution to the future for the rural communities in these circumstance above is the main goal.
