영산강유역권 삼국시대 발형·통형기대의 용도 (The use of bowl-shaped·cylinder-shared pottery stand of three kingdom period in Youngsan River Area)

초록

본고는 영산강유역권 발형기대와 통형기대의 용도에 대해 살펴보고자 하였다. 기대의 용도를 확인하고자 출토 현황과 공반유물을 정리하였다. 분석은 기대의 사용 시기에 대한 검토는 형식분류와 공반유물의 연대를 참고하고, 용도에 대한 확인은 출토 위치와 공반유물에서 반복적으로 관찰할 수 있는 특징에 대해 주목하였다.
분석 결과 영산강유역권의 발형기대와 통형기대는 매장유구와 생활유구에서 출토되고, 5세기 4/4분기를 기점으로 점차 매장유구에서 사용하였다. 두 기대의 주 사용 시기는 5세기 3/4에서 6세기 2/4분기이며, 발형기대가 5세기 1/4분기 이후 등장하는 것으로 보아 통형기대 보다 일찍 사용되었다. 5세기 4/4분기 이후 기대는 점차 분묘에서는 주구와 분구 상면에서 확인되는데, 출토위치에 있어 두 기대의 용도 차이는 확인되지 않았다. 그리고 분구에서 출토되는 기대의 특징으로 배식기(유공광구호, 개배, 고배, 단경호), 조리기(장란형토기, 시루), 분구 외관 치장용 기물(분주토기, 분주목기, 와형토제품)과 함께 공반되는 사례가 높다는 점에 착안하여 당시 분구 상면에 행해진 제사에 대해 유추하였다. 또한 타 문화권과의 비교를 통해 분묘에서의 제사는 백제의 변경지역과 가야·신라권에서 유사성을 찾아볼 수 있었다. 그리고 백제권의 기대는 분묘가 아닌 도성 내부의 주거지와 수혈에 출토되어 영산강유역권과 차이를 확인할 수 있었다.

영어초록

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the use and meaning of the bowl-shaped pottery stand excavated from the Yeongsan River basin in the Three Kingdoms period. I tried to identify the connection between the bowl-shaped pottery stand and the cylinder-shared potter stand. Therefore, I summarize the excavation status of the cylinder-shaped pottery stand in the Yeongsan River basin and analyze association relics. The analysis referred to the typological variation and the age of the relic in order to determine when to use pottery stands. And the examination of the use of pottery stands was made on the features that can be repeatedly observed in excavated location and association relics.
In the Yeongsan River basin, The bowl-shaped pottery stand and the cylinder-shared potter stand are excavated in the burial and living sites, but they are mainly found in the burial sites. The main use period of two types of pottery stands is from the 3rd quarter of the 5th century to the 2nd quarter of the 6th century. After 6th century, the pottery stands that are excavated in the moat and the upper side of the tomb gradually became ascertained as grave goods of the burial sites.
In order to confirm the use of the two types of pottery stands that are excavated in the upper area of mound and the moat, I examine at the excavation location and the types and frequency of the association relics. As a result, it was found that the two types of pottery stands were used on the upper area of mound, and there were a lot of cases that were excavated with serving vessels(Yookongkwangoo-ho, flat cup with cover, mounted cup, short-necked jar), cooking vessels(long oval shaped pot, steamer), and vessels for exterior decoration of the mound(cylindrical Pottery). From the viewpoint of this aspect, It was possible to deduce about the ritual on mound after the construction in the Yeongsan River basin.
Pottery Stands excavated from tombs of the Yeongsan River basin are understood to be used as ritual articles on mound. but in Baekje, Pottery stands are mainly excavated in the capital city, and the ritual ceremony in the capital city is related. Therefore, the use of Pottery Stands excavated in the Yeongsan River basin is expected that it will be possible to make a comparative review with Baekje area and Gaya·Shilla area.
