대학생의 캐주얼 섹스가 심리적 안녕감과 고통에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of College Student’s Casual Sex to Psychological Well-being and Distress)

초록

본 연구는 대학생의 캐주얼 섹스(casual sex)가 심리적 안녕감 및 고통에 미치는 영향을 살펴봄으로써 대학생의 성문화를 이해하고 대학생의 성교육의 필요성을 고취시키며, 성상담의 기초 자료로 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 일반적인 특성에 따른 대학생의 캐주얼 섹스의 차이를 살펴 본 결과, 성별의 차이는 여학생 보다 남학생이 캐주얼 섹스의 성태도와 성행동이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 캐주얼 섹스가 심리적 안녕감과 심리적 고통에 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 캐주얼 섹스의 성태도와 성행동 모두 자기효능감, 삶의 만족도, 심리적 고통에 정적(+) 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났고, 자기실현 행복, 심리적 안녕, 자존감에 부적(-) 상관관계가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 캐주얼 섹스의 성태도는 심리적 안녕감의 하위요소 중 자존감에 영향을 미쳤고, 성행동은 자기효능감, 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미쳤다. 일반적 특성에 따른 캐주얼 섹스가 심리적 안녕감과 심리적 고통에 미치는 영향을 비교해 본 결과, 성별로는 여학생보다 남학생 집단에 더 많은 영향을 미쳤고, 학년별로는 1학년 집단의 심리적 고통에 더 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러므로 이 연구는 성교육 프로그램 개발의 내용과 방법, 적절한 성교육 시기, 성교육의 중요한 대상자 등을 제시함으로써 대학생 성교육의 필요성을 고취시키고, 성상담의 기초 자료를 제공하며, 성교육 프로그램을 효과적으로 개발하고 적용하는데 기여할 것으로 기대한다.

영어초록

Now days, the sexual culture of college student is changing quickly and the casual sex is one of the example of the situation. The casual sex means having unexpected sexual relationship without responsibility and promise in the future. This research is observing how the casual sex affects college student’s psychological well-being and distress.
First of all, the behavior and attitude of the casual sex is related to the psychological well-being depends on the sex. Mostly, Male rated higher than female on both of the attitude and behavior of casual sex. In depend on colleges, Universities rated higher than 2-year course colleges and Freshman rated higher than Sophomore but Junior and Senior marked higher than Freshman about attitude and behavior of casual sex. In difference on religion, non-religion marked the highest and christianity rated lowest. Students who have been advised rated higher than who did not have an advice about casual sex and students who are not living in their parent’s house rated higher attitude and behavior of casual sex.
Second, casual sex effects psychological well-being and distress. The attitude and behavior of casual sex is positively related to psychological distress, self-efficacy, and satisfaction of life but the casual sex also effects negatively to happiness of self-realization, psychological well-being, and self-esteem.
In third, the attitude of casual sex effects self-esteem which in under category of psychological well-being. In contrast, the behavior effects self-efficiency, satisfaction of life. Furthermore, both of the attitude and the behavior of casual sex effects happiness of self-realization and psychological distress. After the research about who casual sex effects psychological well-being and distress, mostly male students were affected than female students and the Freshmen were more affected than any other grades on psychological distress and also Freshmen were negatively impacted than other grades.
To sum up, this study’s purpose is to develop the sexual education, to remind the importance of sexual education of college students, to provide basic data for sexual counseling through the research of college students’ casual sex and psychological well-being and distress.
