유아 행복감에 영향을 미치는 유아 개인 및 어머니 변인 분석 (An Analysis of the Individual and Maternal Variables that affect Young Children’s Happiness)

초록

본 연구는 유아 행복감에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예측되는 유아 관련 변인인 유아 기질, 정서지능과 어머니 관련 변인인 어머니 양육효능감, 어머니 행복감이 유아 행복감에 어떠한 관계를 형성하는지 살펴보고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구대상은 D광역시와 K시에 소재하고 있는 어린이집 중에서 본 연구자가 협조를 얻은 8개 기관에 재원중인 만 5세 유아 192명과 유아의 어머니 192명이다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아 기질 전체와 유아 행복감, 유아 정서지능 전체와 유아 행복감 간에는 유의미한 정적 상관이 있음을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 어머니 양육효능감 전체와 유아 행복감, 어머니 행복감 전체와 유아 행복 간에는 유의미한 정적 상관이 있음을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 유아 관련 변인과 어머니 관련 변인 중 유아 행복감에 대한 상대적 기여도에서는 어머니 양육효능감, 유아 정서지능, 유아 기질, 어머니 행복감 순으로 기여도가 큰 것을 알 수 있다.

영어초록

In this research the research questions were formulated as thus in order to find the overall trend and relationship between, and to assess the relative contribution of, the young children’s happiness, the individual variables of the children (temperament, emotional intelligence), and the maternal variables (parenting efficacy, mother’s happiness). The established research problems to achieve the purpose of this study are as follows. First, What is the relationship between the child’s individual variables (temperament, emotional intelligence) and their happiness? Second, What is the relationship between the maternal variables (parenting efficacy, mother’s happiness) and the child’s happiness? Third, What is the relative contribution between the young children’s happiness and the child’s individual variables and the maternal variables? This study was carried out on 192 young children and their mother, aged 5, attending a kindergarten in the K district of the city of D, from 9th to 14th, Jun 2017. The data collected were analyzed through Pearson correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis to assess the correlation and relative contribution, and all statistic procedures were carried out through SPSS 23. The results of this study are as thus. First, there was a statistically significant correlation between the child’s temperament and the young children’s happiness. There was a statistically significant correlation between the child’s emotional intelligence and the young children’s happiness. Second, there was a statistically significant correlation between the parenting efficacy and the young children’s happiness. There was a statistically significant correlation between the mother’s happiness and the young children’s happiness. Third, on the relative contribution between the child’s happiness, child’s individual and maternal variables, the contribution was highest in the order of child’s temperament, child’s emotional intelligence, parenting efficacy, mother’s happiness. Hence, it can be seen that the parenting efficacy have greater effect on child’s happiness than their related variables.
