TV시사프로그램의 의미구조분석 연구: ‘버지니아 사건’ 주제 <추적60분> <PD수첩> <그것이 알고 싶다>를 중심으로 (Analysis of the Structure of Meaning of TV Program on Current -Affairs documentary : Focused on , and concerning the Theme of 'Virginia Accident')

초록

본 연구에서는 같은 주제를 다룬, 각기 다른 채널 방송국에 속한 프로그램 텍스트를 비교 분석하여 채널별 어떻게 서로 다르게 하나의 주제를 구성하고 있는지 대하여 살펴보았다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 시사다큐멘터리 프로그램에서 ‘버지니아 총기사건’이라는 하나의 주제를 비슷한 시기에 다룬 KBS<추적 60분>과 MBC<PD수첩>과 SBS<그것이 알고싶다>선정하였다. 따라서 개별 방송사별 프로그램이 다룬 동일한 소재의 서사구조의 현실 재현 방식과 영상구성요소, 편집기법, 화면전개방식 등 영상제작의 미학적 방법을 분석 연구하는데 목적이 있다. 첫째, 서사구조의 현실재현을 살펴보았고 둘째, 영상구성요소인 진행자 및 취재자, 내레이션, 인터뷰, 현장화면, 자료화면, 재연, C/G, 특수영상으로 나누어 분석해 보았다. 셋째, 카메라 기법 및 시점을 분석하였다. 넷째, 편집기법 및 장면전개방식을 분석하였다. 분석결과 서사구조는 각각 다른 포맷의 현실재현방식을 하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 즉 주제 구성방법에서 영상구성요소가 다양하게 사용되어 빈도가 높게 나왔다. 이것은 사건의 정황을 세밀히 설명하는 영상기법을 많이 사용하고 있다는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 디지털 기술의 발전에 따라 변화하는 시사다큐멘터리 프로그램의 서사구조의 현실재현 방식과 영상구성요소 및 영상기법, 편집기법, 장면전개방식을 분류해보고 분석하였다. 즉 시사다큐의 중요한 특징인 영상구성요소가 프로그램 속에서 사실성으로 의미화 되고 있는지, 이것이 제작방식과 편집기법, 카메라 기법에 따라 변형되고 제작자의 의도적 편집기법과 현실을 재연하는 방법에 대해 주목한 것이다.

영어초록

This study investigated how each channel treated a same theme differently by comparing and analyzing the program text of the broadcasting companies with different channel, but treating the same theme. Therefore this study chose current documentary programs like <Tracing 60 Minutes> of KBS, <PD Diary> of MBC and <It is Curious> of SBS that treated a same theme, ‘Virginia shooting accident’, at a similar time. The purpose of this study is to analyze and research the aesthetical method of image production including the actual representation method, the image composition elements, the editorial technique and the scene development method of the narrative structure with the same material that was treated by program of each broadcasting company.
First, the actual representation of narrative structure was investigated. Second, the image composition elements were analyzed classifying them into host, reporter, narration, interview, spot picture, source picture, recurrence, C/G and special image. Third, the camera technique and the point of view were analyzed. Lastly, the editorial technique and scene development method were analyzed.
Analysis showed that narrative structure took different format of actual representation method. In other words, the method of theme composition employed the image composition elements diversely, resulting in high frequency. This means that the image technique describing the circumstances of an event in detail was used frequently. This study classified and analyzed the actual representation method, the image composition elements, the image technique, the editorial technique and the scene development method of the narrative structure of current documentary program that changes according to the development of digital technique. This study payed attention to if the image composition element, an important characteristics of current documentary, is getting the actuality in a program, and to the method that it revives the intentional editorial technique of a producer and the actuality after it is transformed by the production method, the editorial technique and the camera technique.
