초록

본 연구는 4년제 및 전문대 교육계열 학생들의 핵심역량과 진로 변인과의 관계를 확인하여 대학에서 진로교육
프로그램을 설계･운영하는 데 필요한 정보를 얻기 위해 수행되었다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 K-CESA 진단
도구를 통해 대학생 핵심역량을 확인하였고 진로준비행동, 진로결정 자기효능감, 진로장벽 등의 검사 결과를 수집
하여 이들 간의 관계와 대학 유형 및 소재지에 따른 차이를 비교･분석하였다.
분석 결과, 첫째, 대학생 핵심역량의 자기관리역량, 대인관계역량, 의사소통역량은 4년제 대학생들보다 지방 전
문대 학생들이, 자원･정보･기술활용역량, 글로벌역량은 4년제 대학생들이 더 높은 역량을 보이는 것으로 나타나,
대학특성에 따라 대학생 핵심역량수준의 차이가 있음이 나타났다. 둘째, 진로 변인들은 대학 간 차이가 분명히 나
타나지 않았지만, 진로장벽 변인에서 주로 수도권 4년제 대학생들이 지방소재 4년제 및 전문대 학생들에 비해 더
큰 어려움을 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 핵심역량 상위집단 학생들이 하위집단 학생들보다 높은 수준의 진로
결정 자기효능감과 진로준비행동을 보였고, 진로장벽에서는 어려움을 적게 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통
해 대학 차원에서 일률적이고 단편적인 프로그램 보다는 학생들의 핵심역량과 진로발달 수준을 면밀히 고려하여
진로 프로그램을 설계･운영하는 것이 학생들의 진로를 보다 효과적으로 지원할 수 있다는 점을 확인할 수 있다.

영어초록

This study aims to get necessary information for designing the systematic and practical
career preparation education program by checking the relationships among core
competency of collegiate and career variables. In order to do that, the core competence
of collegiate was identified through Korea collegiate essential skills assessment(K-CESA),
and the survey results about career preparation behavior, career decision-making self
efficacy and career barriers were collected. And then the data were compared and
analyzed to differentiate relationships among core competency of collegiate and career
variables, based on the university types and the locations.
The research result showed that, firstly, in the categories of the core competency
like self-management competence, personal relations competence and communication
competence, the students at local colleges had higher competency than the students
at universities, and in the category of the core competency like resource･information･
technology utilization competence and global competence, the students at four-year
universities had higher competency than the others. Therefore, it reveals that
competency difference arises from the characteristics of schools. Secondly, although
there was not a clear difference on the matter of career variables among universities,
the students at metropolitan four-year universities feel more difficulties primarily in
the variable of career barriers than the students at local universities and students at
colleges. Thirdly, the students of high rank at core competence showed higher career
decision-making self-efficacy and career preparation behavior than the students of
low rank, and they feel less difficulties in the matter of career barrier.
This study shows that in order to support students' career efficiently, it is necessary
for each college and university to design career program by considering the core
competency and the level of career development of students, insead of providing them
with a unified and fractional program.
