초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학 이러닝 환경 하에서 활용할 수 있는 3가지 컨텐츠 전달전략(실시간 강의전략, 비실시간 강의전략, 자율학습 교재전략)이 학습만족도와 학업성취도에 미치는영향을 알아보고, 학습자의 자기주도성과 사전지식을 고려할 때 3가지 컨텐츠 전달전략의효과에 변화가 있는지를 조사하여, 대학 이러닝 강좌의 만족도와 성취도를 향상시키기 위한 컨텐츠 전달전략의 선택방안을 제시하는 것이었다. 98명의 대학생 피험자들을 대상으로실험연구를 진행한 결과, 학습자들의 사전지식 수준이 높을 때 자율학습 교재로 공부하는것이 가장 높은 만족도를 초래하였고, 사전지식 수준이 낮을 때는 실시간 강의에서 가장큰 만족도를 나타냈다. 그러나 사전지식 수준이 높은 경우에도 비실시간 강의 보다는 실시간 강의에 만족스러워했다. 학업성취도 측면에서 볼 때, 학습자들의 자기주도성이 높을 때비실시간 강의보다는 자율학습 교재 또는 실시간 강의로 공부하는 것이, 자기주도성이 낮을 때는 자율학습 교재보다 실시간 또는 비실시간 강의로 공부하는 것이 보다 높은 성취도를 초래하였다. 따라서 대학 이러닝 강좌의 만족도와 성취도를 증진시키기 위해서는 실시간 강의전략을 적극적으로 도입할 필요가 있으며, 학생들의 사전지식과 자기주도성이 높을수록 자율학습 교재와 실시간 강의를 통합적으로 적용하고, 반대로 사전지식과 자기주도성이 낮을수록 비실시간 강의와 실시간 강의를 통합적으로 적용할 것을 제안한다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of three types of delivery strategies,prior knowledge and self-direction on learner satisfaction and achievement of e-learning courses inuniversities and to provide guidelines for selecting delivery strategies to improve them. The threedelivery strategies(synchronized lecture, asynchronized lecture, and self-directed learning materials)were different in that how much learners were likely able to direct their own learning. In thesynchronized lecture, instructors completely led students' learning. In the asynchronized lecture,instructors led while students were somewhat able to control their own learning. In theself-directed learning materials, students were the most likely able to direct their own learning.Participated by ninety-eight college students in Seoul, an experiment had been conducted toanswer the research questions of this study. Multiple regression analysis revealed that theself-directed learning materials was the best in terms of learner satisfaction when students had arelatively high level of prior knowledge or self-direction, while the synchronized lecture was thebest when they had a low level of prior knowledge or self-direction. However, the synchronizedone was better than the asynchronized one even when they had a relatively high level of priorknowledge or self-direction. As for learning achievement, the synchronized lecture tended to bethe best regardless of the level of student self-direction. When students had a relatively highlevel of self-direction, the self-directed learning materials was superior to the asynchronized one interms of learner achievement, while the asynchronized one was superior to the self-directedlearning materials when they had a low level of self-direction.Therefore, the synchronized lecture-type strategy is necessary to be introduced into universitiesin order to improve learner satisfaction and achievement of e-learning courses. It is especiallyimportant for those who have a relatively low level of prior knowledge or self-direction. The final recommendation is to apply the self-directed learning materials as well as the synchronizedlecture for those who have a relatively high level of prior knowledge or self-direction and toapply the asynchronized lecture as well as the synchronized lecture for those who have arelatively low level of prior knowledge or self-direction.
