    1. 정의
    융모양막염은 임신한 임산부의 융모와 양막에 염증이 생긴 것을 말한다. 태아가 자라는 양수를 둘러싸고 있는 양막이 세균에 감염되면 태아의 조산과 사산, 신생아 패혈증과 폐 질환, 모체의 패혈증 등을 일으킬 수 있다. 대부분의 경우, 태아가 가능한 빨리 출산되어야 문제가 적어진다.

    2. 원인 및 병태생리
