본문내용

Oktoberfest is one of the biggest festivals in the world and also represents Germany’s largest beer festival. It opens every year in Munich, Bavaria, Germany in late September attracting approximately 7,000,000 people from all over the world.
♦ History of development: Oktoberfest was first held to commemorate the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese. It lasted five days from October 12th to October 17th in 1810. In the following years, the festival was held again but in 1872 it was moved forward to September simply because September has better weather for visitors to enjoy festival. Therefore, it is now held on the third Saturday in September until the first Sunday of October a total of sixteen days.
