Nowadays, many people suffer from diabetes, so diabetes is generally known to the public. Diabetes is a set of related diseases in which the body cannot regulate the amount of sugar in the blood. The number of types of diabetes is two. In type 1 diabetes, the body does not produce insulin. Insulin is necessary for the body to be able to use sugar. Sugar is the basic fuel for the cells in the body, and insulin takes the sugar from the blood into the cells. In type 2 diabetes, either the body does not produce enough insulin or the cells ignore the insulin. There are some causes and some effects of diabetes.

First of all, heredity is a major cause of diabetes. Recent advances in molecular biology have improved our understanding of diabetic heredity. If both parents have Type 1 diabetes, fewer than 20 percent of their children will develop Type 1 diabetes. If both parents have Type 2 diabetes, there is a chance that nearly all of their children will have diabetes. In identical twins, if one twin develops Type 2 diabetes, the chance is nearly 100 percent that the other twin will also develop it. These could be hereditary as given by parents.
