Review Background

The first time I watched these two films was approximately 15 years ago, when I was a kid. However, I still clearly remember the beautiful light of UFO and the moment when people communicate with aliens through music in ‘Close Encounters of the Third Kind,’ and the moment when E.T. and Eliot’s bicycle flies to the sky in ‘E.T.’ Last year, I wanted to watch these two films again so I purchased the DVDs. What I felt when I watched those movies again was a lot different from what I felt when I watched them for the first time. I was surprised by Spielberg’s magic, which was so unbelievable considering the circumstances at that date.
Both ‘Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1997)’ and ‘E.T. (The Extra-Terrestrial)’ were made by Steven Spielberg and one of the ‘100 Greatest American Films.’ In 1963 Steve Spielberg made his first UFO movie, ‘Firelight,’ when he was 16 years old, and it was also the first movie of his UFO trilogy. ‘Close Encounters of the Third Kind’ is the middle of the trilogy and he concluded the trilogy with ‘E.T.’ in 1982.
