1. list the layers of the Internet model.
- physical, data link, network, transport, application layer

2. which layers in the Internet model are the network support layers?
- network layers

3. which layers int the Internet model is the user support layer?
- application layers

4. what is the difference between network layer delivery and transport layer delivery?
- network layer는 packet을 전달 하고, transport layer는 messange를 전달한다.

5. what is a peer-to-peer process?
- 장치들 사이에서 한 장치의 x번째 계층은 다른 장치의 x번째 계층과 통신한다. 이러한 통신은 프 로토콜이라는 협의된 규칙과 규약에 의해 제어된다. 해당 계층에서 통신하는 각 장치의 프로세스를 peer-to-peer process라 한다.

6. how does information get passed from one layers to the next in the Internet model??
-데이터와 네트워크 정보가 송신장치의 각 계층을 따라 전달되고 다시 수신 장치의 각 계층을 따라 거꾸로 복구되는 것은 인접한 계층 사이의 interface에 의해 이루어진다 각 인터페이스는 한 계층이 바로 위의 계층에게 제공해야하는 정보와 서비스를 정의한다. 네트워크는 각 계층의 기능과 계층간 인터페이스를 잘 정의함으로써 모듈성을 지닌다.

7. what are header and trailers, and how do they get added and removed??
header - 수신자 주소와 송신자 주소가 들어있다
trailer - 오류 검출을 위한 특별한 비트들이 포함 되어있다.
각 계층에서 헤더는 데이터 단위에 추가된다. data link layer에서는 trailer도 추가 된다. 목적지에 도착하면 송신계층에서 붙였던 헤더와 트레일러는 삭제되고 그 계층에서 해야할 일들이 수행된다.
