► Other Asian-American Novels

Just like Korean Americans, Other Asian minorities have their own uniqueness, because their experiences are all rooted in specific historical, social and political circumstances. Usually, Asian American literature has been thought as a single perspective of race. In other words, the novels are defined within the context of Asian American immigration histories and legislative struggles against unjust policies and racial violence. However, different immigration histories of national-origin communities make different writings, and reflect cross-generational concerns and styles. Each is part of the Asian American tradition. Since they are defined under same category, there is also an ultimate core of those diversities:

Asian American literature is not only a category which was placed in the margin, as a minority one apart from mainstream, assimilated and yet separate, just like their authors who live within a community of their own kind. Asian American literature is appearing as a growing new field. It is considered one of the subdivisions of multicultural literature. The literature today like the <Joy Luck Club> is best sellers in the book market and there is a growing demand for more.
