Japan is the first modernized nation in Asia, and emerged as a forerunner among the advanced industrial nations. Many people believe their source of this development was from the Musado during the Age of Wars. During this time, Musa class system was the key on Japanese culture; and it took major role to form each kind of politic, economic and other systems. Thus, to better understand the contemporary Japanese culture, studying Musa system is inevitable. I would like to analyze their eating habit, traditional clothing, and high rate of suicide by relating to Musa system.
According to the Naver website (2005), a term-Musa stands for samurai which include all militarized office and soldiers. It was first appeared approximately 1575 in the Age of Wars. During this time, Japan was divided by territories governed by each rulers; each tries to unify the nation by force of arms. According to major doctrine, Kasungchungjungseo states “the purpose of born in samurai family is to die with swords. If you do not give mind to Musado constantly, you can not die on appropriate time.” Like this, Musado is a Japanese peculiar ideology which born in unique endemic; it lived deep down in the heart of Japanese with concept of beauty and power. However present Japanese does not concretely practice Musado anymore. The recent research showed that, most Japanese university student answered “Musado is not taught to student anymore, and it should not be formed as a scholarly study.” However it affects their cultures in many ways.
