    1. Introduction
    As global demand for electric vehicles increases, markets related to EV batteries are also growing. The EV battery market is expected to grow 36.7% annually and reach about $160 billion by 2025. In addition, SNE Research announced that the demand will reach to the extent where supply could not catch up with demand.
    Recently, the Korean battery industry is gaining reflective benefits as the U.S. administration of Joe Biden has come up with measures to restrict the use of key Chinese parts for EV. LG ES, Samsung SDI, and SK On have decided to build a battery joint factory in the U.S. with U.S. automakers.
    The EV battery market will continue to grow. At the same time, competition between battery supply and demand among global automobile and battery manufacturers could intensify. We need to pay attention to the competition structure in EV battery industry.
