1. Reactor
Batch Reactor (BR)
A batch reactor is a reactor that is filled with media and nothing is added or removed until the reaction is complete. As the unit operation of the batch reactor is more complex and diverse than that of the continuous reactor, care should be taken when handling it. This is used in processes that are suitable for small-scale product processing and difficult to switch to continuous manipulation.
