낙태 찬반 영작문 에세이

소개

미국 컬리지 재학중에 수업 과제로 제출했던 에세이 입니다.
미국의 낙태에 대한 현황, 인식 그리고 낙태의 장점과 단점을 소개한 후에 최종적으로 임신에 대한 자신의 견해에 대해서 적는 에세이 였습니다.
초반에는 미국의 낙태 현황에 대해서 언급되지만 낙태의 장점과 단점, 그리고 개인적 견해에 대한 부분은 미국에 한정되지 않는 전세계 공통적인 부분이기 때문에 한국에 계신 학생분들이 낙태에 대한 영작문을 쓸때도 도움이 되는 정보가 많으리라 생각됩니다.

Abortion law permits, prohibits, restricts, or otherwise regulates the availability of abortion. Abortion has been one of the most controversial issues in the world throughout history on religious, moral, ethical, practical, and political grounds. It has been banned frequently and otherwise limited by law. However, abortions continue to be common in many areas, even where they are illegal. According to The World Trade Organization (WTO), the number of abortions worldwide is declining due to increased access to contraception. Almost two-thirds of the world's women currently reside in countries where abortion may be obtained on request for a broad range of social, economic, or personal reasons. Abortion laws vary widely by country. A few countries have banned abortions entirely. So, what about abortion laws in the United States?
In 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade legalized abortion nationwide.
