본문내용

The role of Northeast Asian region has been becoming more critical in the international affairs. However, the bondage among the major three countries- China, Japan, and South Korea- as a ‘region’ is relatively weak compared to other regions in the world. To better have influence and better use its significance in the international arena, we cannot deny the fact that efforts for more stable regional cooperation is essential. To achieve more concrete regional cooperation and balance in the region, the more improved relationship between South Korea and Japan seems critical as China itself already gained its own significance and still gaining its reputation as a rising power. Moreover, considering that both Korea and Japan are allies of the United States, and that China is competing with the United States and that the competition is getting more fierce considering the ongoing Trade War, improvement on the bilateral relationship between South Korea and Japan may lead to better stable status of the region.
