Do you notice that there have already been 20 million smart-phone users in South Korea? There are some articles which say that “the number of smart-phone users in South Korea spiked in nearly two years time to exceed 20 million ... from around 470,000, the moment when Apple Inc.’s iPhone [first] arrived here, data provided by the country’s telecom regulator shows. It’s one of the fastest – if not the fastest – take-up rates of smart-phones in the world.”
There is another article which says that “”just find it with your smart-phone.” This has emerged as an often used phrase in Korea.” Also, according to Mark Weiser who “foresaw this development and described it in his influential article “The Computer for the 21st Century”(Weiser 1991). He coined the term “ubiquitous computing,” referring to omnipresent computers that serve people in their everyday lives at home and at work, functioning invisibly and unobtrusively in the background and freeing people to a large extent from tedious routine tasks.”
