Iriver’s prename is Reigncom which was established on January, 1990. The establisher, Yang Deok Jun created the business with only 7 employees and 30million KRW of stock. Since 1999, iMP series were developed as Sony ordered and the products were sold in the foreign market with the name, RioVolt. On November, 2000, Reigncom developed multi codec CD players earlier than any other competitors. The product was sold for 6 months and recorded 1st place in the US’s market. After, flash type MP3 player ‘Prism’, ‘Craft’ from Reigncom, recorded first place again in the global market. In 2000, Reigncom had 60% of market share in Korean market and 20% of market share in global market. In 2002, the company created the first music player that plays data play disc ’iDP-100’ along with the first flash memory MP3 player ‘iFP-100’. Also the company established corporate body in Hong Kong. In 2003, Reigncomwas listed company in Kosdaq market.
