Counter plot of Pradise Lost
J.Milton is master of poet. He applys vague standards to his poem `Pridise lost`.
He superficially praises satan but truth is that he criticize satan`s morality.
And he superficially brings disgrace on God, But the inside story praises the God.
So If we skim through a book, We will easily misjudge his real motives.
First, ‘He scarce had ceased when the superior Fiend was moving toward the shore ; his ponderous shield ethereal temper, massy, large and round, behid him cast;`
Milton outwardly praises satan`s shield. How hard and big it is!
"How can he praises satan. Is he satan`s side?" We may speak that.
But milton`s intention is different. He compare shield to moon.
`the broad circumference hung on his shoulders like the Moon, whose orb through opic glass the TUSCAN artist view at evening from the top of FESOLE~.`
