this journalist also join the CES 2010. Before Joining, he interested in new displays except 3d display. It was unexpected field to him so he is very disinterested and write some weakness of 3D display. First weakness is price of 3d glasses. It`s around 50 dollars each pair. so he said it`s ridiculas. second one is we have contents for 3d display like action movies and games but he also says we have lots of uncountalble contents for 2d contents. It`s not necessary to them only 3ddisplay with expensive 3d glasses. the last one is unconvienent. While watching 3d display, whenever we go like rest room or kitchen, we have to take off cumbersome glasses. he is alittle cynical about 3d display but I think disadvantages what he said is not real weakness so I`ll give u my opinion.
First one, expensive glasses.is getting bigger and It is making its own special market. So we can sure price will be lower than now.
second one is wearing glasses. he said it is big weakness and there are also some 3d display without glasses like lenticular and parallax barrier display called autostereoscopic but we have to watch them specific position. but I found Integral image method during research 3d display. This system let us watch 3d display anywhere in viewing angle.
Now I`ll explain about IP system simply. We can assume this arrow is object and this cameras are lens array. the pictures after pass Each lens will have it own perspective. this step is called pickup.
This is kind of example about pick up step. these one are saved as images.
s images will be displayed with same system as pikup because these distance has to be exactly same with pick up. after this display step, we can get 3d contents.
