This is a persuasive paper written in English that contends the way the United States deals with its foreign affairs in the post-911 period has not changed, and that the popular Bush doctrine was simply a continuation of American foreign policy tradition.

The phrase ‘The world after 9.11.’ has been often cited in many studies immeasurably more than one can ever imagine. It can easily be inferred that the impact of the 9.11 terrorist attacks, visible or invisible, must be quite gigantic. Taking this incident as a mere ‘terrorist attack’ and the change that followed as a simple, natural one would be clearly a huge mistake, considering all the repercussions that the misery of one day created.
Truly, since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, American foreign policy has become more aggressive. Some have argued that contemporary American foreign policy is revolutionary, going far beyond what the United States used to have in its diplomatic history. This view is rather mostly acknowledged that a great deal of scholars have commented supporting the argument.
Here remains the need for clarifying what makes many assert that the United States after
9.11 attacks is so different from the world before. The most apparent evidences of such transition that lay behind this claim are the proclamation of the Bush Doctrine, application of unilateralism and the invasion of Iraq. (Yordan, 2006)
