Being a very important part of Korean art culture, Korean traditional dance has a long history. It not only includes Asian traditional dance characteristic, but also has a unique type because of being Korean. It can be said that Korean traditional dance has a very rich heritage. For all these reasons Korean traditional dance also reflects the Korean culture. This article aims to introduce Korean traditional dance as another attractive culture.

Korean traditional dance has long origin. World known Ballet started in Italy at Western Renaissance but Korean traditional dance had started four hundred years before that time and has a deeper history. In the mid-Goryeo Dynasty (11 century), the court created a fine actress poetic scene. This court dance is composed of singing a poem as a prelude to and post-played song, and there are symbolic props, beautiful costumes and a special music. For example, there are 32 girls to participate in the boat dance, there are six rowing, and two children sitting on board. In the anchor after the boat on the turn circle four dancers pull rope. Some dances can be traced back to the Hyeunkang Kingdom period during the Silla Dynasty (r. 876-886), such as China East Sea Dragon dance. It also shows the music and dance aspects of the cultural exchange activities between Korea and Chinese Tang Dynasty. At that time, Tang Dynasty’s court treasured Korean’s art culture very much. There are three kinds of classical repertoire Koguryo dance, two of them have been complimented by poets and immortalized. Li Bai, the greatest poet in China, writes in his poem "Goguryeo": 金花折风帽， 白马小迟回。 翩翩舞广袖， 似鸟东海来 (Golden flower folding hood, white horse back later.
