초록

도시의 성장과 함께 발생하는 다양한 형태의 범죄를최소화하기 위해, 최근에는 도시 정비 혹은 안전 설계와 같은 도시 재생 정책이 활발하게 진행되고 있다.
이와 더불어 기존의 안전 기능과 함께 사용자의 관점에서 안전 문제를 해결하고자 하는 안전디자인까지 적용되며, 안전한 생활 환경 조성을 위한 다각적인 노력은 계속되고 있다.
이러한 안전한 환경 조성에 대한 시도는 도시의 정책과 시설을 넘어, 개인이 활용하는 스마트 미디어 기반 플랫폼의 확장으로까지 이어지고 있는 추세이다.
특히 최근에는 인공지능, AI(Artificial Intelligence) 이 발전하면서 스마트 미디어 기반의 범죄 예방 플랫폼도 도입이 예상된다. 범죄 예방 플랫폼에 적용되는AI는 개별 사용자를 분석하고 문제를 해결하기 때문에사용자 중심의 안전디자인 효과를 극대화할 수 있기때문이다.
이처럼 사용자가 중심이 되어 능동적으로 범죄를 예방하고 대응하는 주민참여형 범죄 예방 플랫폼에 AI를적용했을 때, 적합한 콘텐츠를 제안하고 개발에 필요한 AI 기술을 확인하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다.
연구의 결과, 주민참여 범죄 예방 플랫폼의 기능은6가지로 구분되었으며, 각각의 기능에 AI를 활용했을때 적용 가능한 콘텐츠와 기술은 다음과 같다.
‘지역 중심 안전 정보’는 사용자 위치 확인과 위험지역 모니터링, 위험 점수 산출의 콘텐츠로 구성할 수있었고, AI 기술로는 ‘이미지 및 영상 인식,’ ‘위치 기반’ 기술이 사용 가능하다.
‘전문가와 협력 및 포럼’의 콘텐츠는 범죄 예방 포럼, 주민과 전문가 아이디어 공유의 장이 요구되며, AI 기술로는 ‘자연어 처리’와 ‘의견 분석 및 제안’ 기술이 요구된다.
‘안전 교육’은 지역 안전 매거진, 맞춤형 안전 캠페인, 알림 서비스가 필요하며, AI 기술은 ‘인센티브 및참여 유도’, ‘대화형 챗봇’, ‘맞춤형 알림’이 필요하다.
‘범죄 안전 모니터링’은 폭력, 파손 시설의 자동 모니터링과 지역주민과 경찰에 정보를 보내는 콘텐츠가필요하다. 적용할 수 있는 AI 기술은 ‘범죄 데이터 분석 및 예측’ 기술, ‘위험 점수 산출’ 기술, ‘행동 예측’ 기술이다.
‘범죄 대응 및 신고’는 목소리나 이상행동을 감지하여 자동으로 신고가 되는 콘텐츠가 요구되며, ‘이상행동 감지’, ‘위치 기반’의 AI 기술로 실현 가능하다.
‘안전 개선 아이디어 커뮤니티’는 주민 아이디어 발굴을 위한 게시판, 또는 범죄 예방 아이디어 공모전과포인트 제도로 구성된다. AI 기술로는 감정 중심의 ‘자연어 처리’, ‘감정 분석’ 기술이 요구된다.
본 연구는 AI 기술을 활용해, 주민 참여형 범죄 예방 플랫폼을 개발하기 위한 콘텐츠를 제안하였다. 이를 기반으로 지역 주민들의 범죄에 대한 자발적인 경각심을 높이고, 지역 중심의 연대감을 조성해 안전 달성도를 상승시키고자 한다.

영어초록

With the growth of urban areas, various forms of crime have emerged, necessitating efforts to minimize their occurrence. In recent years, urban regeneration policies such as urban planning and safety design have been actively implemented to address these issues.
Alongside traditional safety functions, safety design, which aims to resolve safety concerns from the user’s perspective, is being integrated into these efforts, fostering multifaceted initiatives to create safer living environments.
Such attempts to establish safer environments are expanding beyond urban policies and facilities, extending into smart media-based platforms utilized by individuals. Notably, with the recent advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI), the adoption of smart media-based crime prevention platforms is increasingly anticipated. AI applied in crime prevention platforms enhances user-centric safety design by analyzing individual users and addressing their specific problems.
This study aims to propose and identify appropriate content and the necessary AI technologies to implement a resident-participatory crime prevention platform. This platform focuses on empowering users to actively prevent and respond to crimes, thereby fostering a community-centric approach.
The study’s findings identify six key functions of a resident-participatory crime prevention platform for each function, applicable content and AI technologies were proposed as follows.
The ‘Regional Safety Information’ function encompasses content such as user location tracking, risk area monitoring, and the calculation of risk scores. The applicable AI technologies include image and video recognition and location-based technologies.
The ‘Expert Collaboration and Forums’ function requires content such as crime prevention forums and spaces for idea-sharing between residents and experts.
The applicable AI technologies include natural language processing (NLP) and opinion analysis and suggestion generation.
The ‘Safety Education’ function necessitates content such as local safety magazines, personalized safety campaigns, and notification services. AI technologies for this function include incentive-based participation motivators, interactive chatbots, and personalized notifications.
The ‘Crime Safety Monitoring’ function calls for content such as automated monitoring of violence and damaged facilities, as well as systems for delivering information to local residents and police. Applicable AI technologies include crime data analysis and prediction, risk score calculation, and behavior prediction.
The ‘Crime Response and Reporting’ function requires content that enables automatic reporting by detecting unusual behaviors or voices. This can be implemented using AI technologies such as anomaly detection and location-based systems.
The ‘Safety Improvement Idea Community’ function is designed to include a bulletin board for gathering resident ideas, crime prevention idea contests, and a points-based incentive system. Applicable AI technologies include emotion-based natural language processing (NLP) and sentiment analysis.
This study proposes content for developing a resident-participatory crime prevention platform by leveraging AI technologies. The goal is to enhance voluntary awareness of crime among local residents, foster a sense of community solidarity centered on safety, and ultimately improve the overall level of safety.
