    초록

Namio Egami insisted that the ancient state of Japan had been established by the northeastern Asian invasion according to the 'Horse-Rider Theory'. On the other hand, he assumed that the ancient Japanese were the southern Asian people who have been conquered by the horse-rider. This paper looks into the Seinsverbundenheit that maybe present when he tried to deny the existence of lineage between Korean and Japanese people through his approach toward the survey of the migration of rice farmers from southern China(Weain) and people of ancient Korea(Hanin). Until the 1970s Egami concluded that the southern Asian culture including rice culture was diffused throughout Japan by the migration of rice farmer, while the northeastern Asian culture was diffused throughout Japan by cultural exchange between ancient Korean people and native ancient Japanese people. In the 1980s, however, Egami came to value the migration of the group from northeastern Asia via Korean peninsula as well as the migration of rice farmers by accepting a new theory of physical anthropology about ancient migration between Korean peninsula and the Japanese Islands at the 80's. Nevertheless, he avoided using terms related to Korean people to indicate the identities of the group throughout Korean peninsula. It is presumed that Egami sought after the origin of Japanese people in central and southern China, as well as seeking after the origin of the horse rider in Central Asia, which were both apart from Korean peninsula. If he sought the origin of Japanese people and the origin of the state of Japan in ancient state of Korea, and in ancient Korean people he have been considered a disputant of assimilation between Korea and Japan. It can be said that there was a big hurdle which can’t be surmounted easily between the propositions that a large population emigrated from Korean peninsula to the Japanese Islands and the proposition that ancient Korean people eventually became Japanese people.
