지상파 TV 애니메이션프로그램 분석 연구 - 시청률과 제작편수를 중심으로 (Analysis Study of Animation Programs on Ground-Wave TV - Focusing on Audience Rate and Number of Productions)

In the midst of advent of and changes in various new media, television still has great influence as an image medium that delivers diverse information to people in the widest region at the same time. In the aspect, it is important to study animation programs on ground-wave TV as it substantiates public property for enhancing emotional sensitivity in children and it also takes on the role of a driving force for industry. Generally, the visible criteria for activating animation programs on ground-wave TV are audience rate and number of productions. Improvement in audience rate and number of productions is a positive result from the fact that the quality and diversity of programs, appropriateness of time to run, and expansion of various alternative media for animation programs are reflected to viewers. In Korea, there have been changes in media for animation programs from ground-wave TV that were activated in the 1990s for the web, mobile phones, DMB, IPTV, and CATV. These changes have led to the development of various animation programs and content and thus, preference for ground-wave animation programs has been weakened. In order to overcome this difficulty, Korea has provided a favorable environment for broadcasting domestic animation programs through the broadcasting act including the guidelines for judging domestic programs and broadcasting quotas in the 2000s. In this context, this study will analyze animation programs that were run on KBS1.2, MBC, SBS, and EBS in between 2007 to 2009, after the broadcasting quota for animation was executed. As for details, it will analyze the programs by classifying them into domestic and imported programs, and according to production method, and program genre, focusing on audience rate and number of productions. Through analysis, this study will diagnose problems with animation programs on ground-wave TV and present a direction for improvement.
