초록

This study intended to provide basic data for tactics development, technique improvement and performance enhancement by comparing and analyzing striking power between successful team and less successful team through analysis of technology improvement and play for 32 softball games by 8 nations that participated in softball game of the 24th Beijing Olympic Games held in Beijing, China from August 8 to 24 in 2008 and then presenting quantitative data to players and coaches. and drew out the following conclusions.
First, in terms of the number of times at bat, hit, base on balls and hit by pitched ball, and sacrifice hit, successful team appeared relatively higher than the other team, showed statistically significant difference(p<.05).
Second, in terms of at bat, homerun, score, and run, successful team appeared relatively higher than the other team, showed considerably significant difference in statistics(p<.01).
Third, in case of getting on base due to error between successful team and less successful team, the former appeared a little higher than the latter, and showed no statistically significant difference.
Fourth, in case of on-base percentage and scores between table setters of successful team and the other team, a table setter of the former showed a little higher percentage than that of the latter, and showed no statistically significant difference.
Fifth, regarding slugging average and run batted in between central ranks of successful team and less successful team, run batted in of central rank of the former appeared relatively higher than that of the latter, slugging average showed considerably significant difference in statistics(p<.01), and run batted in appeared statistically significant difference(p<.05).
Sixth, regarding sacrifice hit and extra base hits of lower ranks between successful team and less successful team, lower rank of the former appeared a little higher than that of the latter, and showed no statistically significant difference.
