초록

According to the league formats and methods in which teams and players participated, using the ‘KBL(Korean Basketball League) Player Contribution’ calculating method to compare and evaluate the performance characteristics between the teams that advanced to the playoffs and the championship matches, to estimate performance producibility of teams and players.
We collected the data from 270 games of the regular seasons in 2020-2021, 15 playoff games, 4 championship games, and the top 30 highest-paid players. In data processing, t-test and one-way ANOVA verified the differences in contribution rates, bonus points, and minus points. All data were analyzed by R program 4.1.2, and the significance level (α) was 95%. The research results are as follows.
As a result of analyzing the distributions of the players’ contributions in the regular seasons and playoffs, the contribution scores higher than average were distributed in both seasons.
There was a statistical significance in contribution rates as F (2,6475)=4.58 among the differences in contribution rates, bonus points, and minus points between the following teams: eliminated from the regular season playoffs, advanced only to the playoffs, and went to the championship matches. As a result of a post-test, the players of the teams that went to the championship matches made higher contributions than the players that only advanced to the playoffs or did not advance to the playoffs (p<.05).
Among the differences in the contribution rates, bonus points, and minus points, the players that went to the championship matches showed higher contribution rates and bonus points than those who advanced only to the playoffs. The players that advanced only to the playoffs had higher minus points than those who went to the championship matches. However, there were no statistically significant differences in the contribution rates, bonus points, and minus points (p>.05).
