The consumer trends in 21st century is based on 3R;‘Riches’in the standard of living, ‘Ripeness’in mental and spiritual perspective and ‘Rest’ in time factor. Professionals expect that 3R can enhance the quality of living and provide the differentiated service. Recently, with the increase of national income and high cultural level, people look for sportswear to enjoy active lifestyle. Especially, the combination of active sportswear and easy casual leads consumers to purchase multi-functional clothes. In 2010,multifunctional and comfortable sportswear was highly recognized. In addition, nature-friendly products were popular.
This trend led linen and knit-wears to get high spotlight. In particular, as the increased production of various knit-wears becomes possible through the development of materials and technology, the fashion style which fits body perfect and its functional material have received attention because both male and female are highly conscious. The knit which is made of only loops is more flexible than woven garment. In addition, the knitting construction changes its physical feature and its material changes the appearance. Circular knit fabric is good for elasticity and activity but lacks dimensional stability. Now,textile manufacturers and knit engineers have hard time in stabilizing the process of designing T-shirts such as Single Jersey. In particular, no one has found a solution to prevent skewness caused by knitting construction and yarn twisting. In this study, we investigate the reason of skewness of Single Jersey knit wear after washing. This study is to strengthen the comfortable and aesthetic functions of T-shirts such as Single Jersey for female consumers in the United States. The most commonly used method in the industry, 100% Cotton 30's/1 was used with Z twisted. 2) 120 feeder with 28-gauge single-bed machine was used, 3), Three kinds of Knits were prepared with loop length 2.6mm, 2.8mm, 3.0mm for research, we have developed the pattern drawing to produce knitwear without skewness. We are sure that the company which adopts this pattern drawing will secure competitiveness in continuously growing circular knitwear market. We also hope that students learn this pattern drawing in their classes.
