인공지능 통번역프로그램을 활용한 판매중국어 교육방안 탐색 (A Study on the Learning Methods of Sales Chinese Using AI Translation Program)

초록

현재 판매업계 분야 현장인 백화점과 면세점에서도 외국인 고객의 편안한 쇼핑과 원활한 의사소통을 돕기 위해 인공지능 통번역 기술을 활용하기 시작했다. 우선 인공지능 통역 기술은 쇼핑 로봇을 사용하여 사용자 고객의 음성을 통해 정보를 얻고, 기본적인 대화를 나누고, 쇼핑 서비스를 제공해 주고 있다. 또한 인공지능 번역 기술은 스마트폰 번역 어플리케이션을 사용하여 쇼핑하는 외국인과 대화를 하고 쇼핑 관련 정보와 서비스를 제공한다. 이는 현장에서 외국인과의 대화에 필요한 정보를 어플리케이션을 통해 번역된 번역텍스트의 결과물을 보여 주고 받으면서 의사소통을 한다는 편의성을 가지고 있다. 인공지능 기술 통번역프로그램은 이와 같이 향후 중국어 교육의 흐름을 바꿀 수 있는 잠재력을 가지고 있어 현시대가 요구하는 새로운 교육의 패러다임을 형성할 수 있다. 그러나 현재까지 여러 분야에서 4차 산업혁명에 관한 연구가 광범위하게 진행되고 있지만, 중국어 교육에서 이를 활용한 연구 사례가 많지 않아 중국어 교육 관련한 새로운 교수법과 강사 양성 연구가 필요한 시점이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 현장성이 가장 두드러지는 판매중국어를 중심으로 인공지능 통번역 기술을 활용한 중국어 교육방법을 탐색해 보았다.

영어초록

Due to the interest in and necessity of Chinese education, the demand for Chinese learners is increasing day by day. The first Chinese immersion school where two languages in English and Chinese are used will be established this year. This shows that the world is aware of the need for learning Chinese. In the near future, it is expected that Chinese will be adopted as a global business language.
As for existing Chinese learning, school-record-centered evaluation for college admission education has been progressed as grade-centered learning. As a result, there has always been a lot of controversy due to educational problems because it takes result-based evaluation method. In the future, future education at the school site should be focused on process-oriented learning of learners rather than result- based learning, and education reflecting the collaborative network should be provided. This educational foundation is expected to be the foundation of education for the fourth industrial revolution era. Augmented reality and artificial intelligence among the 4th industrial revolution technology will make our life convenient and enriched as the core technology of the future society, and the education field is changing rapidly.
As various media using mobile augmented reality technology of ubiquitous-based environment have been recently developed, the augmented reality contents in particular provide information of the real world through three-dimensional stereoscopic images supporting multi-sensory elements along with virtual reality. The smartphones the learners can directly manipulate are being used as a new educational medium for them to experience directly. As augmented reality technology is extended to the artificial intelligence technology, translation programs mounted with artificial intelligence technology are emerging. While text-based translation technology was possible to support in the past, more convenient and faster translation combined with augmented reality technology, voice support, artificial neural network translation, and optical character recognition technology is now possible due to the development of translation technology. It was announced that ‘GenieTalk,’ an artificial intelligence technology translation program, will be presented at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics next year. The translation service for language communication between domestic people and foreigners has the potential to change the flow of language education in the future. As for the artificial intelligence-based translation programs, there are Google’s ‘Word Lens’, Naver’s ‘Papago’, Systran, Flitto, and ‘Hancom Malang GenieTalk’ co-developed by Hangul and Computers and Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute(ETRI).
As for the case of Chinese language education applying the Augmented Reality technology, English and Chinese bilingual learning program based on augmented reality currently has been developed in Hong Kong. In domestic research, there is a case study using augmented reality technology of Chinese education, targeting bilingual users of Chinese children of multicultural families. This has educational significance by orienting a new direction of Chinese language education.
In accordance with this new paradigm shift of educational paradigm, this study aims to examine teaching-learning plans for Chinese educational field of high schools by applying the artificial intelligence technology advanced in the Augmented Reality technology of the 4th Industrial Revolution technology to Chinese reading and writing education.
