우리 주변에서 부상하는 버스킹의 현장: 그 실태와 가치 부상의 가능성 연구 (The Rising Culture Busking in Korea: The Study about Possibilities of the Actual Condition and a Rising in Value)

초록

In the past, the pop culture received a negative view such as a low culture which was against high culture or mass produced culture for mass consumptions.  However, in these days pop culture is considered as the comprehensive culture that people faces in their daily lives.  Furthermore, it has taken a space as an important culture that strengthens the national competitiveness and bringing strong economic effects.
Among of the pop culture, pop music is rapidly absorbed and spreading out in everyday life.  Especially, K-POP music is recognized globally, and in Korea everything related to K-Pop, such as concerts, entertainment, product development, and exhibitions, are influencing over society.  Among the pop music industry's flow, street music performance, known as busking, is took a place as a new trend, and dragging people's attention.
This research is targeted at the specific busking of having popular music performance character which is mainly based on singing and playing from various areas of busking.  Therefore, in the study we were trying to define the meaning of busking, and inspected pros and cons.
Busking effects are depicted as the busker, the audience and the busking area.  As the aspect of busker, first of all, busker can form the identity and character of the busking area. Second, busking is a low expense, high-efficiency promotional tool.  Third, it is the chance of the expression of musical talent as a pop musician.  As the audience's view, it provides varieties of use of leisure time, so it improves quality of the life in general.  Also, as the aspect of area of where performance is happening, it helps the local promotion the accelerate revitalization of the city.
On the other hand, the busking cause noise pollution, and commercialized performances and confronting conflicts between buskers.  In order to address this problems, there are movements to study foreign busking culture and related polices, and applying on out own policies.  However, it is still insufficient yet.
This study has the meaning in that a systematic analysis was attempted by using existing studies and statics, in the mean time the reaseaching of busking in the pop music culture has not been actively studied.
