고고문화유산을 통한 컬포츠 활용 및 지역문화인재양성 시론 - 신안 다도해 유네스코생물권보전지역을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Training Education for Culturally Talented Students by the Use of Culports: Shinan Dadohae Biosphere Reserve)

초록

이 논문은 고고문화유산을 고고학 대중화를 위해 어떻게 활용하는 것이 바람직한 것인지를 검토하고, 기존의 축제형의 선사체험프로그램(PEP)의 단점을 보완하고 지역문화의 지속가능성을 보장하기 위해 컬포츠를 활용한 문화인재양성교육의 중요성을 제시하였다. 해양－갯벌－육상의 복합 생태계로 구성되어 있는 생태계의 보고인 이 신안다도해생물권보전지역은 고고학기반의 컬포츠를 적용하기에 적지이다. 섬과 갯벌의 우수한 지질다양성은 수많은 생물들에게 서식지를 제공하였고, 생물다양성이 풍부해졌다. 이러한 생물자원을 기반으로 구석기시대로부터 역사시대에 이르기까지 인간 정주의 문화다양성은 인류의 적소(niche)로서 풍부한 고고학문화 유산을 남겼다. 섬이 갖고 있는 수려한 경관과 자원, 이에 적응하며 남겨 놓은 문화의 특성을 보다 전문화된 교육을 통해 역사와 문화 및 지역민의 삶을 담은 토착지식을 보전하고 다음세대에 물려줄 자산으로 기록하고 남겨두어야 한다. 고고학기반의 컬포츠로는 크게 1) 사냥유형 2) 어로유형 3) 주거생활유형 등 세 가지 유형을 들 수 있다. 이 각 유형은 고고학의 연령별 수준별 콘텐츠를 만들 수 있으며 스포츠의 여러 요소와 결합할 수 있다. 기존의 PEP의 목적이 선사시대의 주제를 가지고 체험을 통한 놀이와 학습의 조화였다면 컬포츠는 문화인재양성교육과 문화유산 지속가능성에 더 무게를 두고 있다. 컬포츠는 그런 의미에서 단순히 선사시대의 문화를 이해하는 차원을 넘어 다차원의 학문 분야와 연계된 수많은 유형으로 융복합하여 개발될 것이며, 개발된 유형들은 점차 스포츠의 기능을 포함한 엄밀성을 갖추게 될 것이다. 특히 스포츠의 여러 요소가 있겠지만 규칙을 통해 교육의 틀을 제공함과 동시에 경쟁을 통해 흥미를 유발할 수 있다는 점과 다양한 융복합과정을 통해 인문학의 통시성을 추구할 수 있다는 점에서 기존의 단순한 선사체험 프로그램에서 다룰 수 없었던 합리성과 체계성을 보장받을 수 있다. 풍부한 고고학 유적과 지속가능성을 포괄한 담론을 갖고 있는 컬포츠 적용의 최적지인 신안다도해 유네스코생물권보전지역(SDBR)에는 인류가 지역의 경관과 자원을 활용하여 살아왔던 모든 과정을 잘 내포하고 있다. 이 고고학 자원을 연령별 또는 수준별로 컬포츠 프로그램을 구축하여 이 지역에 특화된 학교 정규교육 또는 방과후 교육으로 정착할 수 있다면 보다 체계적인 문화인재를 양성하여 도서지역의 문화의 지속가능성을 가능하게 할 것이다.

영어초록

The purpose of this research is to find the ways to make the use of archaeological cultural heritage to contribute to popularizing archaeology. Especially, it points out the importance of providing training education for culturally talented students using Culports in order to compensate the weakness of existing prehistory experience programs(PEP) and guarantee the sustainability of local culture. Shinan Dadohae Biosphere Reserve, where this study has taken place, is composed of the complex ecosystem with the sea, tideland, and land, so it can be the best qualified place to apply archeology-based Culports for many different reasons.
First, this region can provide habitats for numerous organisms from its excellent geological diversity including islands and tidelands and have rich biodiversity. Based on such abundant biological resources, it preserves the diversity of different culture during human settlement processes from the old stone age and prehistoric age to the Historical period. Therefore, it has been able to keep plentiful archeological culture as it has been the niche for human beings.
Moreover, this region which consists of a lot of islands also has the diverse cultural characteristics made by humans when they have adapted themselves to the rich resources and landscapes of each island. Thus, it is possible to preserve the native knowledge of its history, culture and local life style through the specialized education and record all of them to pass down to the next generation.
Archeology-based culports can be divided into three types: hunting, fishing, and housing. Each type can make contents classified by age and level of archeology and combine with various elements of sports. While the purpose of existing PEP was the harmony of the play and study through the experience of the prehistoric age, Culports is more likely to focus on training education for culturally talented students and sustainability of cultural heritage. In that sense, Culports will be developed convergently into a number of types that are connected to multidimensional learning exceeding dimension of just simply understanding the culture of prehistoric age. Then, advanced types will gradually be elaborated including functions of sports.
Especially, of the many elements of sports, Culports can not only provide the frame of education through rules but also motivate participants by creating healthy competition. In addition, it can support the complementary role of culture and sports that has not been held by other prehistory experience programs in that it pursues the diachrony of the humanities by various convergent processes.
SDBR (Shinan Dadohae Biosphere Reserve) which is the optimal place for applying Culports that ensures rich archeological remains and sustainability preserves every step that humans have gone through with local landscapes and resources very well. With these archeological resources, if Culports programs classified by age and level are prepared and practiced as formal education or education after school in local area, they will surely contribute to breeding up culturally talented students more systematically and sustain the culture of island areas.
