오티스 엘리베이터 카 디자인 변천 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Changed Features on the Car Design of OTIS Elevator)

초록

The original objective of the elevator had been started around the 15th century as a transportation tool for vertical moving. However, the elevator became an essential factor of the life to the modernists in the midst of the high rise buildings owing to the development of modern technology on the architecture. The elevator is a closed moving space vertically by tangling on the rope. Therefore, the users tend to feel the discomfort and stress from the noise, inappropriate light, cold side panels and confined space. These factors are the parts to be eliminated fully by means of designing. The technology competence and cost have been regarded as fundamental factors by the rapid development of the technology in terms of these points of view, and the competition points in designing the elevator have been shifted to the added value. The design development has been emerging as a key factor in the elevator market. The advanced analysis and study are necessary to shorten the development period in line with these factors. The purpose of this study is to recognize the basic trend of the elevator through considering the pattern and structure and to provide the foothold for elevator design in the future by deriving the classification standard and features for each age based on the standard for design classification which categorizes the media with formative factors in car design. With regards to the case analysis, the design case analysis is made for each age oriented to the standard design on the elevator. The changed features for each formative media of the elevator are identified through analysis and the conclusion is made from the changed factors of the aesthetics, functionality and practicality.
