유아용 텍스타일제품에 나타난 친환경 소재에 관한 연구 (The Research on Eco-friendly Textile in Children Textile Products)

초록

현대사회는 빠른 경제성장으로 인해 인간에게 물질적 풍요와 삶의 질을 향상시켰지만 최근 들어 지구 온난화 현상, 환경 호르몬 배출 등 각종 질병에 따른 여러 가지 환경문제를 야기 시키고 있다. 특히 환경에 기인한 원인불명의 질병이 나타나고 환경의 유해성 논란이 사회적으로 가속화 되면서 환경제품에 대한 수요는 기하급수적으로 증가하고 있다. 이러한 현상이 가장 민감하게 적용되고 있는 산업이 유아산업이며 유아 상품 개발에 있어서의 환경성에 대한 고려는 이제 일반화되고 있다.
따라서 본 연구에서는 친환경 제품의 개발 현황과현재 개발된 국내․외 유아용 텍스타일제품에 사용된 친환경 소재를 고찰하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 국내․외 브랜드, 온/오프라인 브랜드로 구분하여 의류, 침구, 잡화, 교육과 장난감 등으로 분류하여 총 69개 브랜드에 대하여 제품을 비교 분석하였다. 분석결과 친환경 유아용 텍스타일 제품에서는 친인체성 텍스타일 제품이 가장 많이 나타났으며, 적용된 제품으로는 의류, 침구, 잡화, 완구/교육용 제품의 순으로 나타났다. 그 다음으로 환경보존성 텍스타일제품이, 재사용성 텍스타일제품은 잡화제품에서만 나타났다. 개발된 유아제품 중에 친인체성, 환경성, 재사용성의 3 가지 특성이 모두 적용된 것은 의류제품 중 우주복, 바디슈트, 배넷저고리 등이었으며, 침구제품 중에는 속싸보와 이불이, 잡화제품으로는 손싸개, 발싸개, 턱받이, 완구/교육부분에서는 딸랑이 제품이 가장 많이 나타났다. 특히 친인체성 텍스타일소재인 오가틱 코튼은 거의 모든 브랜드에서 사용하고 있었으며, 친환경제품으로는 천연염색 코튼이, 재사용제품으로는 오가닉 코튼과 천연염색 코튼이 가장 많이 사용되는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구는 각 제품이 지니는 친환경적 특성을 분석한 것으로서 현재 친환경 유아용품 시장을 예측할 수 있는 중요한 자료로 활용될 것으로 기대한다.

영어초록

Even though modern society has provided material well-being and improved the quality of life for the human, recently it causes various environment problems. Especially, unknown diseases caused by the environment have come out and debates on the environmental injuriousness has socially been accelerated and therefore, the demand for eco-friendly products has been increased by geometric progression. The industry that in which phenomenon is reflected most sensitively is for infants and the considerations of eco-friendliness are now communized in the products development for children.
Therefore, the research considers eco-friendly designs shown in domestic and foreign eco-friendly textile products for infants. The research largely considers characteristics of eco-friendly designs and analyzes products from total 69 brands by going through and analyzing the development status and differentiates between domestic and foreign brands and on and off-line products as well as by classifying into clothing, bedding, general merchandise, educational products and toys.
The results from the analysis are that Human Body-Friendly Textile products are prominent among the textile products for children and this feature is reflected mostly in clothing and in bedding, general merchandise and educational toys in order. Secondly, there are Eco-Conservational Textile Products and Recycle Textile Products are shown only in general merchandise. Among the developed chilren's products, all of three features like human body-friendliness, eco-friendliness and recycableness are mostly applied to space suits, body suits and the first clothes among clothing, inner-covers and sheets among bedding, hand-covers, foot-covers and bibs among general merchandise, as well as noisemakers among toys/educational products. Especially, organic cotton which is made of a body-friendly textile material is used in most of brands; natural-dyed cotton is used for products of environmental conservation; organic and natural-dyed cottons are mostly used for recycle products. The research would be a useful material for firms to develop products considering environment which is socially discussed a lot. Particularly, the analysis on textile products for infants which have been developed recently is expected to be utilized to get an analysis on market for infants and to anticipate its demand.
