초록

The purpose of this study is to explore a device of application of dance lesson based on Direct Instruction Model. Direct Instructional Model is characterized teacher-centered strategy which is combined teacher’ explanation, demonstration with practice of learners and feedback.
Rosenshine(1983) identifies six steps in a Direct Instruction lesson. The step is review previously learned materials, Presenting new content/skill, Initial student practice, Feedback and correctives, Independent practice, Periodic review. Through this step, teacher should check of learner' understanding, structuralize rule and content, guide practice utilizing encouragement,convey information about the right or wrong performance, provide independent practice which allows students to control pace and grasp the whole.
In Direct Instruction Model for Korean folk dance lesson, a task is subdivided smaller task,each part of the exercise. Students experience a staged structure from sub-task to entire-task. A teacher leads student' movement through clear explanation and exact demonstration. If student need re-explanation, teacher execute it for reinforcement of their' understanding. When they show a sample, use lively image or a name to stimulate imagination and help memory. Also, they provide learners with acknowledgement and corrective feedback to sustain learning motivation and give a right information about performance. They use cues like action words, directional cues,counting cues to guide effective practice, too.
