공동체문화 실천에 대한 자율주의의 문제설정 ― 경상북도 상주지역 공동체문화 실천과 전개양상을 중심으로 ― (The Problem of Autonomism on Community Culture Practice)

초록

이 글은 상주지역 공동체문화 실천이 어떠한 양상을 띠고 있으며, 어떠한 문제의식 속에서 규명될 수 있는지를 탐구해보고자 하였다. 먼저 상주지역 공동체활동은 기존에 자리 잡고 있었던 체계와 규율, 법, 제도 등과 같은 표준에서 벗어나 그 운동의 지형을 넓혀가고 있는 양상을 띠고 있다. 다양한 욕망이 서로 상충하는 가운데, 잠재되어 있던 다양한 운동들로 구성/조직/변주/변형되어 전개되는 과정을 자율주의적 문체 속에서 해석해보고자 하였다.
이 글에서 상주지역의 공동체문화 실천을 자율주의의 문제설정을 통해 조명하는 것은 노동과 자본을 중심축으로 하는 노동과 여가문화에 대한 이분법적 사유 틀이 유동적이며, 불안정적으로 분리되어 있다는 가정을 입증하는 것과 연관된다. 또한 체제에 저항하는 반-시장적, 반-자본주의적 대안활동이 어떠한 양상을 띠며, 어떠한 조건 속에서 발현되는지를 밝혀내는 것과 관계된다.
자본주의 체제의 도입과 더불어 민속문화가 여가문화로 구조화되어 고착화되어 가던 것이, 지금의 인지/디지털자본주의 체제에서는 그 경계가 불분명해지고 있다. 이러한 지점에서 포착되는 공동체문화 실천은 민속문화와 횡단/교차/중첩하면서 구조화된 경계 사이의 틈을 확장시키고 있으며, 여가문화의 범주로써 이해되지 않는 민속문화의 발현과 재인식으로 이어지고 있다. 상주지역 공동체문화 실천의 성격은 자율과 연대의 참여문화로써 민속문화를 재인식/재조명하고 있는 ‘자율문화’적인 운동이라 할 수 있다. 그들의 운동을 ‘자율문화’의 성격이라는 점을 규명하기 위해 세 가지의 문화유형 구분인 민속문화, 여가문화, 공동체문화로 설정함으로써, 노동(일)과 여가문화의 구도 속에서 잉여로 남게 된 공동체문화 현상은 민속문화의 발현/재인식/재조명으로 볼 수 있다는 사실을 확인하였다.
상주지역의 공동체문화 실천에서는 자본주의 체제의 현실적 조건과 내재적인 운동성이 서로 경합하고 결부되는 과정에서 양가적인 속성도 발현되고 있다. 구조 내부의 여러 사람들이 자율적이고 대안적인 활동에 참여하는 가운데, 상이한 욕망들이 충돌하는 경합의 장에서 생겨난 제문제의 영역으로 보인다. 이러한 문제 상황은 상주지역 공동체문화 실천이 한국사회에서 자본주의 체제 전환의 이행 속에 조건 지어져 있으며, 체제 전환에 따른 모순적인 환경과 구조 속에서 태동한 ‘자율적인 대안운동의 성격’을 지니고 있기 때문에 발생한 것으로 보인다.

영어초록

This research wanted to explore what aspects of community culture practice in Sangju area have and what problems can be identified in this sense. First of all, community activities in resident areas are expanding the landscape of the movement away from existing standards such as system, discipline, law, and institutions. While various desires were at odds with each other, the process of organizing/organizing/variating/modifying various potential movements was to be interpreted in an Autonomism problem setting.
In this research, highlighting the practice of community culture in Sangju through the problem setting of Autonomism is related to proving the assumption that the dichotomous thinking framework for labor and leisure culture centered on labor and capital is fluid and unstable. It also relates to identifying what forms of anti-market, anti-capitalist alternative activities that resist the system and under what conditions are expressed.
With the introduction of the capitalist system, folk culture was becoming entrenched as leisure culture, and its boundaries are becoming unclear under the current cognitive/digital capitalist system. The practice of community culture, which is captured at this point, extends the gap between folk culture and the cross/cross/middle and structured boundaries, leading to the expression and re-recognition of folk culture that is not understood as a category of leisure culture. The characteristics of community culture practice in Sangju area are ‘autonomous culture’ movements that re-recognize and re-light the folk culture as a culture of participation in autonomy and solidarity. It was confirmed that the phenomenon of community culture left as surplus in the structure of labor (work) and leisure culture can be seen as the manifestation, re-lighting of folk culture, by setting their movements as folk culture, leisure culture, and community culture, which are divided into three types of culture, to identify the nature of ‘autonomous culture’.
In the practice of community culture in Sangju, the two-way attributes are also expressed in the process of competing and combining the real conditions of the capitalist system with the inherent activism. With many people inside the structure participating in autonomous and alternative activities, it appears to be the area of the question that arose from the arena of competition where different desires collide. This problem seems to have occurred because the community culture practice in Sangju is conditioned in the implementation of the capitalist system in Korean society, and it has the nature of a “autonomous alternative movement” born amid the contradictory environment and structure of the transition.
